How do I set up a Grand Gathering?

We are taking a family trip in January of 2006 to BWV. I want to set up a grand gathering so I can make reservations for the magical fireworks cruise where you meet Peter Pan. Do I set up a grand gathering through MS or is there another number I need to call?

I was setting up the Grand Gathering for December, and things may have changed.

Because our rooms were booked through MS there was some going back and forth between MS and the Grand Gathering people regarding verifying that the correct percent of people were staying on site.

The number that I called was 407-939-7526, but maybe MS can help you out as well.

You need a party of 8 or more to qualify for a grand gathering. There are some special events that you can attend if you have enough people. Here is the link from the Disney Website that details the events.

Member services can set-up the GG for you. You will need a list of everyone that is going with the birthdates. I recommend emailing this to eliminate mistakes. They will then send you a GG # that you can use to book experiences only available to GG groups. You can only book these 60 days before the date, much like dining.

You'll also receive your own personal Grand Gathering number. Everyone in your party will have to add this number to their reservation. If everyone is staying in a villa with you, there shouldn't be a problem. But if some people are staying in other resorts, they'll have to add the number to their reservation.

There is also an 80/20 rule. A minimum of 80% of the people must be staying on property, and 20% can be staying off property or be locals. If any of this is applicable, GG will ask for more information about the off property people.

I set up a Grand Gathering for the Pirate's Cruise last October for 16 people. We had a blast!
