How do I record my story?

I really want to record my story rather than send it in. However, I am an older person who is not that tech savy. I have a droid phone and a PC? I believe there was something posted somewhere that had step by step instructions for those of us who need Step by Step by Step detailed instructions. Thanks, Penny
