Hello! This is my 1st time going to Disney World and from what I can tell, there isn't a way to just park and get to the magic kingdom but I have an early reservation at Be Our Guest before the park opens and the monorail and water transportation doesn't even start going till that time. So, how can I get into magic kingdom before 8:30? I am staying on site but I would prefer to drive.

Where exactly are you staying?

Buses begin running around 6:30 every morning.

If you'd prefer to drive, drive to the Transportation and Ticket Center (the MK parking lot). Transportation will be running that early. They might put you on a bus to MK from the TTC.

also depending on when you are going that 9 opening may change to an 8 opening. yes you can get from TTC to park gate for your ressie, has to be a way for off site guests to get there. but allow an extra half hour to 40 minutes to get from TTC to gate of MK

It is so much easier to take the bus to MK. There will be transportation if you really want to drive, but no one can tell you exactly what that will be yet.

There's always a way to get to MK. They won't leave you stranded with no way to get there. So don't worry.
You have never been so you wouldn't know but you really should rethink driving to MK. It's not convenient at all. You are much better off on the bus.
But, if you stick to driving, do. And when you get to TTC, follow the instructions from either the signs or ask a CM.

We'll be at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Most everything I've read said that busses typically start running an hour before park opening, but that's why I asked you fine people. The busses just seem like a nightmare situation to me. We definitely didn't have a good experience with sea world busses!

Buses start around 6:30 every morning and they work really well. I would recommend that you give them a chance before dismiss them.

Personally, the only reason I ever stay onsite is because of Disney transportation. If I was just going to drive everywhere anyway, I would definitely stay offsite.

Do the busses have a set schedule everyday?
Set like a time they come or set in a time they start/stop?
They are not on a set schedule like a city bus route
They do have a set schedule they roll out and a time they stop
Then they run about every 20 min, for each park. About being a key word. Some more often, some less. It's a pretty efficient system all in all. For free at that.
I'll find the list of times they start. One of our CM posters has provided the info. It actually varies by park, with 6:30 being the earliest time for MK
And as to the time they end, at no time does Disney strand a guest with no way to return to their resort. They will always have a bus out to get the last guest back. Even the final stragglers out of a park. Sometimes they regroup resorts as the final guests come out

Early morning bus service begins at the following times each morning:

Buses to MK – 6:15 a.m.
Buses to DHS – 6:45 a.m.
Buses to Epcot – 7:15 a.m.
Buses to DAK – 7:15 a.m.

Service begins earlier when the park opens early.

In almost all cases, I prefer driving to get to the MK than riding a bus. Early morning arrival should allow you to park near enough for a short walk to the TTC from the parking lot and you can catch the available transportation to the MK from there.

Well, to get into Magic Kingdom, you first need a FP for the Toy Story Paratrooping excursion. You have to book that at DHS. The helicopter however, takes off from the top of Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom. So to get there you have to have a speedy ride... Chevrolet provides that service in Epcot. This all fails if you don't have park hoppers. Which then requires a 4 day trek on the monorail, a few boats, and maybe some buses. It's all good though, the bus drivers tell some EXCELLENT stories. So at least you get a good story with the free ride.

Thank you so much for your help! This is the kind of information I needed to find.
