How do I find out who my guide is?

I bought a resale contract last fall and would now like to purchase a small add-on directly through Disney. The problem is, I've never been contacted by a guide, so I have no idea who to call to start the process.

Any and all help would be appreciated! :)

Give the DVC Preview Center a call at (800) 800-9100. They can look your sales account up.

I am in the process of closing. Do I have wait until closing is complete? If so, what do I do then

I don't understand what you want to do? Your DVC Guide is a salesperson, nothing more. Did you want to buy another contract direct from Disney?

So you mean the tts salesperson is my guide?

No. If you are in the process of buying resale and want to immediately add on through Disney, you can call now (the number Bill listed) and ask to speak to your DVC guide.

Let him/her know that you want to add more points, are in the process of closing resale and he/she will tell you how to go about it.

Good luck!

I guess I am not clear. I'm in the process of closing a resale contract. I am not looking for an add on. I am asking if I am entitled to a guide to help me get a reservation for sept and dec.

DVC Guides have, at times, been able to assist their buyers with some "magic". While you will have a guide assigned once your resale is closed (and will already have a guide if you have ever taken a DVC tour in the past), you are not purchasing from that guide and they have no reason to assist with reservations. They are sometimes able to assist with reservations at resorts not yet sold out and not yet fully declared into DVC member inventory. Consider it a sales incentive - just a small thing guides are able to accomplish to get a sale - but if you are not buying from that guide they will have nothing to assist.

DVC Guides are not a Concierge but they are able to assist at times in order to please their buyer. If you call and let your guide know you'd like to buy 250 points at BLT, I'm sure they'd try to work some "magic" for you too!

Guides don't make reservations, they are DVC salespeople. As soon as you get your DVC account and your points are added, you will call MS (member services) to make your reservations.

You may have read that a Guide has helped a member get a reservation but that is a perk for those who purchased direct and it is only for the first reservation. Some Guides will do it and others won't.
