How Do I Do This?

We have 2 boys and they will be 7 and 2 when we go.
There are rides that we would like to ride that our 2 year old can't and I know about the child swap rides but I am a little confused.
With the child swap, can me and my older son go on while hubby and baby wait and when we get off my hubby and son ride? Or do they have to get in line again because my 7 year old was just on the ride?
I know that we would both like to experience the ride with our older boy. Except Space Mountain. My hubby doesn't like that one. He says its boring. :confused3 he is willing to sit that one out. I don't know though I have never been on it!

Ride swap only works for rides with a fast pass option. When second parent (and ds) is ready to go on again, just go through the fast pass line. It's not quite NO wait, but it's minimal wait. And you don't have to go immediately either -- any time during the day will work. At least that's how we understand the system to work.....

Oh Ok thanks. We never had to do the swap thing before. Last time we went it was just our older son. And when we went to Islands of Adventure last spring, we a fifth person with us. so it made rider swap easy. that way everyone had someone to enjoy the ride with.

I don't think baby swap only applies to fast pass rides. Ask the ride attendant at the attraction - for some reason I am thinking it was any ride with a height limit. You don't have to wait in line twice - that is the whole point of the baby swap. One of you waits with the young child, while the other parent and older child ride. When you return to the child swap area, the older child gets to ride again with the second parent. All you need to do is think of something to keep the 2 year old amused while you wait!

LOL I already have that part planned! my youngest is sort of...how shall i say this?....uhmmm active. yeah thats the word i am looking for!:rotfl:
i've been stocking up on stickers and little coloring books and mini etch a sketches for a while now!

Parent swap applies to any and all rides with height restrictions. NOT just fast pass rides.
You tell the CM at the ride entrance that you will be swapping- he/she hands you a swap ticket. The parent who stays with the baby takes the ticket. The other parent and older child wait in line and ride the ride.
When they get off the ride- the second parent takes the ticket and can ride the ride without waiting in line again. The older child rides again with the second parent.
If the ride has a fast pass line the second parent will join that line. If not- then the CM will direct you as to where to board without waiting in line.
Some rides, like Star Tours- you will all wait in line together the first time and then the first parent rides with the older child while the second waits with baby. Then when the doors open a CM will direct the waiting parent to go through the ride with the baby and pass off to the first parent. The older child just stays on the ride and rides again with the second parent.
I hope this helps!
We've done just about every ride with parent swap- and have never had a problem! It's easy.
