How do i book ADR for +10 days out online?

On this sunday, Dec 25, it will be my 180 day mark to make dining reservations. I know normally i would just go online and put in my reservation number and it will let me book for +10 days out. Wheni went there today to just check it out, now it says "i want to book using my dining plan" link. What if i dont have a dining plan, but do have the reservation? do i just put in my res number anyways and it will let me make the adr's i want? I just want to be prepared since i have to be up at 4am local time to do this. Am i missing a step or did they change how you now book online that i need to know about?

Then don't click the thing about the dining plan. You don't need to have a dining plan to make reservations. Really the only reason they have that is so dining plan users can avoid prepaying on CRT and the dinner shows.
 
where do i click to just put in my res # so i can book 10 days out then?
 
I'm not sure how it works because I never do 180 + 10. But you should be able to input your number without clicking dining plan. If you have to click dining plan to input the number, do it anyway, as it will make absolutely no difference unless you book CRT or a dinner show.
 

Just to warn you in advance, the 180 plus 10 may not work for you. It didn't for me anyway. I had to call the dining line to make my reservations, and the cm told me that they have been having problems with their online system.
 
I was able to do 180+10 online last year, although with the new policy changes it's possible they may be having glitches. I haven't really heard that though.

From what I can remember, if you are logged in and your package/room reservation shows up, you can just go onto the dining page and start making ADRs. If you're package/room reservation is showing under "My Reservations" then the dining page will recognize you are a resort guest. If it doesn't show under "My Reservations" then you will have to go to Retrieve Reservation and input the package/room confirmation number and add it to My Reservations. I believe I had to do that the first time I logged in because I didn't set up my Disney online account until after my trip was booked. Once I added the reservation, it was then associated to my email and my online account.

So OP if you can't get it to recognize your room reservations, it's nothing you've done wrong. It just hasn't been working well since the last upgrade on Oct. 26th, when they started requiring cc for buffets/character/signature meals.

Once we enter our last name, reservation number, and arrival date, we kept getting "does not recognize our reservation." Good luck!

Same thing here, I got up early and tried to book online before going to work. Even though it recognized our room reservation, it would not allow me to book ADRs. Said something about it being too far in the future and I needed a resort reservation. It was very frustrating until I came on the boards and found the posts about it not working. Called the phone number at 7:00 and was able to get everything I wanted, including Chef Mickey's and Ohana for a party of 7.

Yes, that is the number I called. It might put you in a great mood for Christmas morning, I was dancing on air the rest of the day after getting all of my ADRs! :cloud9:
 
As everyone else stated, the system did not recognize my room reservation number, so i had to wait the extra hour to call them. I did get what i wanted, but they really should fix this. I mentioned to the operator i tried online and it did not take it, and she really didnt say anything about it, just glossed over it and keep on with the reservations, so i doubt they cared or will even mention it to anyone.

Glad to hear you got the ones you wanted and thank goodness you checked prior so that you didn't beat yourself up when it didn't work. As for telling anyone, glad you did. I did also the last couple of times I've talked to member services and they didn't seem to really care. As I mentioned earlier, this started right after the Oct. 26th upgrade (when the cc's were required and they changed their system). So it's been TWO months now and still no change. Now, back to the holidays.
 
The online system was working perfectly this morning and I got all the ADR's I wanted with the times I wanted (except for HDDR...had to call about that one and still couldn't get it...wasn't loaded in the system yet.) So if you are wanting to book online you should be able to!

BTW, if it won't recognize the +10, there's a teeny tiny link on the page that tells you to login to your account.
 
:headache: I couldn't get it to work this morning for me either. It kept saying it couldn't find my reservation even though it shows on "my vacation" screen.

But at least I got the times I wanted when I called in.:goodvibes

ETA...you still have to click on that little login link and login again even AFTER it says you're already logged in and shows your vacation information.
 
Sorry everyone had so much trouble. Glad the phone option worked for those who had issues. The online system worked fine for me on Christmas Eve. Got up at 6am and got all mine, then called in a little after 7 to make my daughter's BBB appointment. The lady was a real hoot for it to be so early. :rotfl2:

So much more real now that the ADRs are made. Happy planning everyone.

I need to add a few more ADRs and when I go to call there is a 10 minute wait. :headache:
