I just trid and it keeps saying that I have to refer someone is that the only way to get in?

No, just go to the home page of SR and you should be able to sign up. You don't need a referral from anyone and you don't need to refer anyone.

Edited: I just went to the home page to see what you should see. It will say Sign Up at the top, then Become a Member underneath (when you highlight Sign Up). It should work from there.
