How Do DLP FastPasses Work?

OK, I know the basics, and I know that they check return times. Reports are that the return time window is 30 minutes, not 60 minutes as in DLR California. Here's what I'd like to know:

At DLR in California, I can go into DL park with my wife and granddaughter, pick up a FP; and then I can take their admission media and head over to California Adventure Park to pick up another FP there, while DW and DGD stay at DL park. Does it work similarly at DL Paris? That is:

1. Can I pick up FPs at the alternate park (Studios) before the wait time has expired on my DL FP? That is, are the FP systems independent, as in DLR California?

2. Can I get FPs at the alternate park (Studios) using media for my DW and DGD, who have not entered that park, but have entered DL? At DLR, you only need to have entered either park, and the media will be good at both parks. Does it work the same at DLP?

Thank you.

Oh I don't know!! But hoping someone does. It's a great question and could prove very useful if I can run into WDS TI grav Ratatouile FPs and leave DH and DD elsewhere!

You can do the same at DLP, the two parks systems are not linked. The systems works on paper fastpasses like WDW and DL used to do.

But do the tickets have to have gone through WDS gate that say to get a WDS FP? Or vice versa?

I don't think the have to have. Although this is information I have read somewhere, I haven't actually tried it myself. I know you can hold FP's for both parks at the same time though as I have done that myself.

Thanks to both of you. Yes Torsie24, I was thinking specifically of getting FPs for Ratatouille while the others remain in DL. Danauk, thanks for the information, and I hope you're right that I can take their media to the other park for FPs.

Cheers,
Bob
