How do AP rates work?

Trying to get the best deal for AKL for in Nov. Already have reservations for but trying to decide if I got the best deal I could. If I use an AP rate do I still have to get UPH passes for rest of family, or do we all need AP's.

I did not have to have AP's for the rest of my group - just said I already had lots of unused days on my park hoppers from the last couple of years and the answer was that that was okay so imagine you can do it the way you suggest. Just remember the regular AP does not offer all the things a UPH does like water parks, PI and DQ so if you use all those you might want to get the PHP.

I was hoping that was the case. We don't plan on going to the water parks just the pool at the AKL since the kids are so young (2 + 4). Still thinking that if we can save enough on the room to offset the cost of AP's for everybody maybe another trip the week before xmas could be a possiblilty.

How many days are you staying? It may be better to buy regular hoppers for everyone v/s UPHs.

If you haven't already booked it at the AP rate it is very unlikely you will be able to get it now, everything is sold out for that rate.
