We have always been rope droppers but this June will be doing an arrive late in day and stay until closing. If we come through security at 3:00 is it impossible to get through the park due to parade? I’d love to get in and maybe hit COP or philharmagic. Or come in at 3:00 eat at Pecos Bill then have FP for 4:00. Do they have a way of getting past the hub that takes you around parade traffic. Or should we wait to enter at 4? Or enter at 2:00?

Assuming you're just talking about the regular parade that happens daily, you can definitely get around it. It will be crowded in the walkways, but you certainly can get around. Cutting through the shops would help. I mean, you will have an easier time navigating main street after the parade, but I wouldn't let it prevent you from going. With that in mind, if you are able to wait until 4:00 and relax a bit, that might be better as you won't be stressing about getting through the crowds.

You will be fine. They put tape down on the sidewalk to keep walking and parade viewing areas separate, so, you can either walk down the sidewalk on Main St. or cut through the shops.

Oh gosh, we did this accidentally our first trip to MK and it was so much fun actually! Because the gate is, well, the gate, it's not nearly as crowded as the other areas so you walk in and the parade is just sort of happening right there; our kids were so excited. You can definitely walk around it from there if you want to because they make sure the entrance area isn't blocked.

I don't know what June's like exactly crowd-wise, but I'm pretty sure you'll be fine.

My wife and I did a 12:30 lunch at Ale & Compass then took the YC/BC bus to MK because she wanted to see the 2pm Festival of Fantasy parade we'd never seen before. We were at YC bus stop at 1:30, bus came about 1:45, picked up at BC, then the bus was at MK around 2:05. Through bag check (short line) gates (no line) and we were there just in time to see the first parade float hit town square. Watched the whole thing (it was maybe 15 minutes? not very long) and then we just cut through various shops and looked at what souvenir ears she wanted to buy. There was a bit of crowd with little kids leaving after the parade, but honestly it wasn't anything like the fireworks crowd.

No reason to sit outside the gate, just come on in. It's probably not as bad as you think.

The parade starts in Frontierland and takes about 15mn to reach the castle. If you are in the park (not at security at the TTS/a resort) right at 3, you’ll be able to get past Main St pretty easily- just don’t head into Liberty Square/Frontierland. I wouldn’t try to get to Pecos Bills. Wait times for most things drop during the parade, though the posted wait time doesn’t always reflect that. Best thing would be to get there slightly before 3, head to Tomorrowland or Fantasyland, do something with a short line, and then start using your fp back to back.

If you are afraid of Main Street crowds here you could also just go up to the train station and take the train.

Just FYI, the WDW railroad is currently closed for Tron construction. I’m not sure an end date has been established yet.

For those of you who haven't had a problem, is there a secret way to get past the parade when going to the Adventurelabd side? I have been trapped by the move it shake it dance party thing and since it turns into the gate by the firehouse, I had to wait it out (I was actually trying to leave but same idea). I didn't see a way to cross the route so I just waited it out. But is there a back way open I could have used?

You would need to be on the EAST side of Main St. in order to exit.
And, you would need to get on that side of Main St. at the Hub end.

With the parade path, there's no real way to cross towards Adventureland that I know of. You enter the park on the east side of Main Street and have to work your way up on the east side until the parade's over. But the parade's short enough that I think by the time you swim upstream to the Hub, the parade should be done and you should be able to walk west.
