How difficult have you found it to rent your points?

You want to alway keep your thread fresh. You can do this by replying to your own thread every now and again to keep it at the higher portion of the threads for renting points.
Use a catchy title......"CHEAP POINTS FOR RENT"
The more popular renting price is $9.00 per point but in the end you may need to be prepared to settle for $8.50 or so. There are so MANY renters out there yes some post for points to rent at $12.00 but most people interested in renting points will hit up more then one poster and in the end they will go with the cheapest price.
Be very prepared to get tons of request......this means they will let you know where and when they want to vacation, it will then be your job to call member services and find out if these dates are available. Staying on top of these request and getting a quick response will help you rent your points faster.
The BEST way is to ask people to PM you with the details for their vacation request. This way you can just check you in box everyday.
Also if you dont have one yet......GET ONE. You need a paypal account.

REMEMBER above all keep your posting FRESH!!!!
Good Luck.:yay::yay:

There is no reason to settle for $8.50 or less. More members rent out their points for $10-15 per point. Even David will give you $12 a point and he gets $3 to make the match for you. Not all non -members go for the cheapest points. They may want a member who can get them the resort they want at 11 months out or at least before 7 months out.

And you don't need a Paypal account. You can accept a check or cashiers check if you like. Lots of members do.

If you use the Rent/Trade board here on the DIS, you may NOT use a "catchy title." Threads must begin with approved verbiage as outlined in the posting rules, or they will automatically be closed by the maintenance program.

Yes I agree you do not have to settle for $8.50 BUT in my case I did not mind, I was NOT desperate for money and my points had a limited window for use. They were on the verge of being expired so some money was better then NO money to me. It was a personal choice BUT since money was of no object to me I was fine with just being rid of the points and taking less money per point.
Also paypal is not a NEED but for me it is GREAT, you dont need to wait for a check or money order. The transaction is done and over with in a second, quick and secure.

Again all things you decide to do when you rent will be a personal choice I was just saying what worked for me.

I just recently posted a thread for points for rent and I used that "catchy" title......"CHEAP" it worked like a charm.:wizard:

"Cheap" is not the first word of your thread title, the first words were Points for Rent. The title was Points for Rent: CHEAP Points for RENT!!!

As I said, the first words of the thread title MUST meet specific posting criteria, or the thread will be closed.

If you change the approved lead-in words, and it is not corrected for you by a moderator, the board software will close it.
