How different Fri Dec 10 vs Sat Dec 11 crowds, MK?

I'm sure the crowds will be worse on Sat but I was wondering how bad since it is offseason. I think many wouldn't go on Fri b/c MK closes at 6pm where Sat they can see Spectro and close at 11pm. With our young kids we wouldn't stay past 6pm anyway which is why I preferred Fri. We may need to switch to Sat for other reasons so I just wondered how much worse the crowds will be. Thanks.

The fact that they are showing Spectro on Saturday night will make everyone and their mother go to MK that, especially off season when the specto schedule is limited. We go off season all the time and MK is stil quite a zoo on Saturdays. Id spend Friday at MK, even with its early closing time, and hop to Epcot or MGM for the evening. Epcot is always a good choice for Saturday. It never seems crowded since its so big an d spread out. Then hop on the monorail and spend the night in MK. Id get to MK about 2 hours before Spectro starts and grab a spot an hour ahead of time. The spots in adventure & frontier land fill up slower than on Main Street!

MK closes at 6pm on Friday because Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party begins at 7pm. MVMCP is a separate hard-ticketed event, which will certainly draw large crowds.

The other factor which MAY come into play is the taping of the Christmas parade at the MK for broadcast on ABC. The last few years it's been taped on a Saturday afternoon--usually the first Saturday of the month. The date hasn't been revealed for this year, so there's always a slight chance that it could be the 11th instead of the 4th.

All things considered, I'd try to stick with Friday if you can. If Saturday is the only alternative, well, then I guess it doesn't really matter, does it? You could could be wading your way through 25,000 fellow guests, or it could be 55,000. Either way I'm sure you'll have a great trip.

I don't know if this will help, but we will be there at the same time and this is our plan:

Friday: PS for CRT & Morning/Early Afternoon @ MK. Dinner outside MK, then go to Epcot for the evening.

Saturday: Morning/Afternoon @ MGM. Then we are going to 'Ohana for a 6:00 PS. We will just catch the Monorail over to MK and spend from 8-11 in the park.

That way, the only major crowds we will hopefully have to deal with will be from about 8-9 in MK. After Wishes, the park should empty out quite a bit.
