For the people who, created there own gift baskets how did you sneek your gift baskets in with out the the other people knowing? I want to do that but i don't how to. I need to start planning..... Do you think Guest relations would help me? i need to get into two other staterooms, too.

Have you thought of using The Perfect Gift...Shirley does wonderful baskets, and they are in your stateroom when you get there..She charges next to nothing, and is wonderful to work with..

We did this, so no need to sneak!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

the problem with bringing your own baskets is that I don't think Guest Services is going to give you access to the staterooms of other people.

I vote for The Perfect Gift as well. A lot easier on you.

have Shirley sneak them in and they will never know. That will probably be your best bet. I doubt you can do it yourself, unless you leave it for guest services to do and I bet they can not guarantee having it in the room prior to your friends arriving there.

Hi,

I have pm'd you. Let me know if I can help you further.

Have a great day,

Cheryl

How can I contact Shirley at The Perfect Gift?

Thanks!

You can call Shirley at The Perfect Gift 800-950-4559.

Does any one have ideas for sneaking stuff onboard for those of us who will not have Shirley's services available? We're going on the 7/9 west coast cruise, and I'd love to be able to sneak something in for my DD & DH.

I have tried over and over to find someone out in Calfornia that would make gift baskets for those that wanted it done, but I found the cost was not only very high, but they also would not accept just charging the delivery that the ship charges - there would be another $7.00 added to the $12.50 - I know that guest services will not help in this quest - the only solutions that I can think of is to place your gift baskets in some type of carry on and you can sneak it somehow into the rooms before the kids get in there - Wish I could have helped further - here at the port, the only way to get your gift baskets on board is the same way - I know it has been done and it has been pulled off and the kids or whomever it was for, was surprised. I am sure that someone will post how they did it.
Good Luck
Always
Shirley

I was wanting to know how to go about this too because I will have a couple other people that I want to sneak something in for. Any ideas would be great! Thanks! :goodvibes

if you are staying in room that are next to each other you may have the same room host/hostess...they may be able to sneak a gift to another room although probably not on the first day...maybe something to think about!

I brought some things onboard for my DD's last Sept...I simply packed it in my bags...and as they were off at the kids club I set them out on their bed. I didn't do baskets or anything...I wanted it as easy as possable to carry off the ship and onto the airplane...so I packed things by themself and set out a diffrent item each night on their pillows. They loved it and my youngest thought it was from Capt. Mickey himself.

you can also do what I've done in cruises past...mail them to the cruise line, and they will be delivered to the room along with the luggage.I preferred this method, because we sailed with friends, and there were some very specific things I wanted in our packages. As I recall, they had to be there by 5:00 on Friday before the Saturday or Sunday cruise. I can't put my hands on the address right this moment, but you can either call DCL, or PM me, and I'll dig it up for you.

I think you can also send personal things to Shirley...and she'll add them to the baskets she makes.

If you send them via mail or ups...would it just be a shipping box waiting in your stateroom?

I asked my TA about this and she didn't think they would do something like that. Did they charge you to do this? Thanks in advance! :flower:

Well, thankfully, your TA is incorrect.
There is a company at Port Canaveral where you can ship your items and they will magically appear in the stateroom on the day of your departure...NO CHARGE...except for postage...any carrier...even slow boat to China...
Ship items to:

Disney Cruise Lines
9001 Marlin Street
Cape Canaveral, FL 32920

on the bottom left corner of the box put the following information:
ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING
STATEROOM NUMBER
(Gty, if you don't know the number)
PASSENGER NAME...the passenger in whose name the reservation is listed
VESSEL:...DISNEY WONDER or DISNEY MAGIC
DATE OF SAIL
NUMBER OF BOXES: 1 of 3, 2 of 5, etc.

Ship as early as you want all you do is pay shipping costs...I think I said that...
Copy this information and put it in a safe place! I just shipped 'em 4 boxes for the May Repo cruise...

Yeah!!! That is why I love these boards! So much good information!

Okay, I was really excited about this and I told my DH and so he (being the guy that he is) asked, "Hey, do you think I could ship a case of beer for my 'surprise' basket? Why don't you ask that one?" So, here I am asking...

I wonder if shipping directly to the port would be an issue though? :confused3
