Bully in the third grade. Given to me due to my ASD and ADHD. Just had to kind of embrace it. Not as many championed those with disabilities in the 70's & 80's when I went to school. Everyone in my town still calls me Robo.
I'm told it was because I was very robotic in my interactions with other children at an early age. Any whos I grew up and I am successful and have a wife and kids and a job. Maybe bullying isn't quite that detrimental if you have a strong internal fortitude.

My bicycling buddies combined Alfred Hitchcock's famous single word titled movie (hint-Norman Bates) with the famous Ed McMahon first name intro also Jack Nicholson's famous movie name identification during the hacking of the door all thanks to the extreme first treatment I underwent for my Prostate Cancer + my Midnight Madness 100 mile Rides.

Most of my nicknames came from playing softball for many years for various teams.
My two favorite
Swingline - Which I got for playing ball after a hernia operation while I still had the surgical staples closing the cut. They got caught on my pants or underwear while I was running.

My brother was mentally disabled and it was a little quirk of his to give nicknames to everyone - his way of showing his affection. The one he gave me was kind of horrible but considering the source, I didn’t take offence. Luckily it never went further than our family and close friends and now that he’s gone, it’s gone with him. The only time anyone ever uses it is when we are reminiscing about him and it’s actually turned into kind of a sweet memory.

My Dad called me "Maggie." He liked the song 'Maggie May,' by Rod Stewart. The lyrics aren't especially fitting to give a kid this nickname, but he always called me that.

My other nickname is a play on my first name that my aunt, who is also my Godmother, gave me when I was a baby. In this house it's what everyone calls me. My sister calls me by the first syllable of my name, which I don't like, but she's the only one who does so I put up with it.
