My first was c-section she was butt first, second c-section after long labor she was facing up,and third I asked for a c-section this time good thing because he was 11 lbs 6 oz .

DD1 was elective c section 5 days before due date as she was breach and lying with legs at strange angles ( still sleeps like that now, 15 years on). DD2 was announced to be boy and 6 lbs at scan at 38 weeks. At 42 weeks she was delivered as emergency section and was a girl of 7lbs 12 oz!

Planned C-section with the twins. One baby was laying with his butt covering the Va-j-j, his head near one hip and his feet near the other. His brother was in the right position, but his head was cradled in his brother's stomach.

DD was breech, scheduled a C-section, but she ended up coming a day earlier than scheduled. DS was a V-Bac, 6lbs, 2oz and 3 week, 4 days early.

#1 induced va-j-j

#2 scheduled 36 week C-section. I had placenta previa, and the cord attachment was over the cervix. Had I gone into labor, we both could have bled to death. (My OB saw it happen...IN THE OR AS THEY WERE PREPPING HER...and both mother and baby died.) I was on bedrest for 3 months, and had an amnio at 36 weeks to make sure DS's lungs were developed enough. It's a terrible feeling to know your baby is safer outside of you, even if premature, than in.

One C-section...the rest were VBACs.

DS was 9lbs 6oz and after th 28hr long labor, sometimes I wish he had been a c-section!!!

Guess I was built for birthin'

After him, DD was a breeze and popped right out, but broke her collarbone on the way.

DD#1 was VA-J-J induced at just over 40 weeks.
DD#2 was a c-section at 40 weeks because of a transverse lie.
DD#3 was a c-section at 39 weeks because of a transverse lie.

I SO didn't want to have c-sections, and even did pelvic inversions to get them into blast-off position, but they wouldn't budge. My OB wouldn't even consider trying VA-J-J with #2 or #3 as they were because he was afraid of a cord prolapse.

C-section for #1, she was a footling breech, both boys were VBAC's

First baby was a c-section. 7 1/2 hours labor, 3 hours of pushing!!! He wasn't coming out. Turns out his head was 16 1/2". Other two babies were V-Bac, smaller heads, 14 1/2" each. Dr. did ultrasounds at end to monitor head size with other 2.
Katy :sunny:

C- section with the first one after 4 days of failed induction(7.5 lb baby). Begged for a planned c-section for the second but it was against the HMO policy. My doctor, who was appointed through the HMO-I had no choice, tried to shame me into accepting the policy by saying that I would "feel more like a woman" if I had a v-bac. How HE would know that is beyond me. Anyway, I lodged one complaint after and when I went a week overdue with no signs of labor they did decide to just go ahead and do the c-section. That baby weighed 10lbs.

I had an emergency c-section and I was happy about it - I was hoping for one all along. I hate it when people say to me "oh, you had to have a c-section", like it's a bad thing. It drives me nuts that I feel like I have to explain why I had one. I recovered well and have another one planned for the end of this month.

1st child was an emergency c section, I was put to sleep and all with seconds..really minutes.

2nd child was vbac, I wished I had a c section. Lets just say 1 1/2 hours after delivery I was still in stirups with two drs discussing minor surgery for me.

C-section.

I did the whole labor and pushing but made no progress. He wouldn't drop down any further. We decided on a C-section and he was so jammed in there his shoulders would have never shifted to allow a regular birth. Luckily we made the right choice. For future pregnancy will probably have a repeat because I also have a small pelvic structure which doesn't leave the baby much room to get out (funny too because I am a tall, normal weight person with "birthing" hips). Unless the baby is small, they probalby won't attempt a regular birth.

1st one was C-section, she was sunny side up and wouldn't come out....2nd one ended up being sceduled for the day AFTER my DD's 2nd birthday, checked into hospital on my DD's birthday only to discover I was starting labor so C-section was done right away and my girls have the same birthday 2 years apart!!! :rolleyes1

My First was a C-section, but the next two were VBAC's. Im happy for all those that enjoyed their C-sections, but I would never do that again if I could avoid it! I had an extremely hard recovery and ended up back in the hospital after delivery to reclose the incision. I would rather push them out than be cut open any day!

One va-j-j so far. They talked about a c-section after finding placenta previa at 19 weeks, but it corrected itself by 31 weeks.

DS#1 was an emergency c-section. He would'nt come out. Which is funny because at 21 weeks I had premature labor and spent the weekend in the hospital trying to stop it. At 40 weeks I would'nt dialate past 1. The put me in to induce and even after 12 hours I would'nt budge. Dr came and and said we need to do a c-section, I was relieved, DH got sick. DD and DS#2 were then scheduled sections. DR gave me a choice for DD, but said I would probally have the same trouble with her. DS#2 I had no choice.

I recoverd fine for all 3 sections, execpt for the last they hit a nereve with the spinal, could'nt hold the baby for 3 weeks unless someone was there to help give him to me. I still have back problems 20 months later.

Two non-hospital ******l births. DS was born at home 9.5 months ago.
