How did you choose your Dis Username?

Me... well, years ago I went by one username on usenet in primarily technical groups. Then I switched to just my first name in parenting groups for all of about 2weeks, when it appeared there was another "me" with a child of similar age! So I manufactured a name.

When I came here from r.a.d.p. Netflix had just started multiple queues. DH & I had been finding some older movies we enjoyed as kids for DD and putting them in her queue. I had just added Candleshoe a little before I made my account here!

That's my story! What's yours?

LOL! I was going to ask this myself! When I see an interesting username, I always wonder how the person came up with it.

Mine is not very creative. I was born in Anaheim, very close to DL in fact. Apparently, I screamed like a banshee when I was born and my mom always teased me, saying I came out screaming "Where's Disneyland?! Where's Disneyland?!" :rotfl: So I thought it was an appropriate username for me, for a Disney site.

Mine is, also, pretty boring.

When I worked at Disney, I played Belle. My married name will be McNally.

Mine's pretty boring. It's just my name and date of birth. Joanna- July 19, 1985, or joanna71985. :teeth:

Mine is quite simple. I am the family planner and try to always do something special for their birthdays. My DIL was not used to such "elaborate" vacations and gifts and said I was the family "Faireygod Mother" and it has stuck both here and at home.

We--DH, DS16 & I & fur children--live in a small quintessential New England town. Our 225+ year old rambling, Georgian-Federal house is the former
Capt. Samuel Jones Tavern.
The good Captain had to have his leg amputated right before the kitchen hearth in 1804. There was a funeral for his lost limb & it has a slate gravestone in our old town cemetary, whilst the good Captain lies elsewhere-

Jean & Chris

I was called my user name in the newspaper a long time ago. I did work on occupant safety issues and they were interviewing me about car seat safety issues and my 3 children. My late husband started calling me that after the interview and now you know the rest of the story.

 I'm really enjoying these tidbits--even those of you who think yours is boring! Not to me :)

ooooOOoo! Have you ever 'met' the Captain?

It sorta just came up to me. Dunno what inspired it actually.

I was once asked why I would choose a username that was something people would put their feet on. :rotfl2: Well, I didn't!

Would be easy to see if I wrote it the way it is pronounced - O'Timon. Just made little Timon Irish like myself.

My DH referred to shoes as hoof covers once and we laughed so hard. So it became kind of a joke.

Then one day he came home from work and told me he had bought me a present, it was a shoe box, and inside it was 2 horseshoes.

Mine is my first name (Dawn) and state. (CT) The 1 got added later. I kept it from my prodigy days.

I am not nearly as creative as some of you. Mine is all the initials of our 1st names-Lynn,Bob,Ashley,Kelsey.

Obviously you can tell where I got mine. Not creative at all. Oh how I wish I could change it.

Here we go again, hopefully this will be new for someone.

MUDNURI came from my DD9 when she was about 5 1/2. She saw my full size blazer for the first time after the lift and big tires, and said to me "wow, mumma that thing can fling mud in your eye"

Hence- MUDNURI

Brandy

First syllables of my first, middle (maiden), and last name.

I hate my Dis name. Wish I could change it to (drum roll, please) Kelley!

This is fun to read!

BelleMcNally, I guessed that was the reason for your name (well, the Bell part I got anyway). Did you enjoy being Bell? What a great job to get to talk about at parties!

My name is pretty simple. I laugh hysterically on Tower of Terror - one of my favorite rides.

mine's not so creative either, just a combination of my 2 dd's names - Kimberly & Isabella

It was the best job I've ever had. I've spoken to other people who've worked at Disney who didn't like it as much (including one who complained "Oh My Gosh, there are Too many kids!!" Hello...? didn't you think about that before applying to work at Disney ?), but I had the time of my life.

I have memories of meeting so many children (and adults!) that I will treasure forever.

I'm not allowed to talk about the job around my family--I have a ton of younger relatives who would be devastated that someone "played" Belle. :)
