Can anyone give me some details? I got hooked on "Without A Trace" over the summer, watched ER for the first time last night and was totally lsot.

Thanks,

Barbe

a helicopter landed on him  a bit over the top IMO.

A helicopter fell off from the top of the hospital and down onto Romano who was on the street below.

Romano was actually up on the roof bringing something up for a patient who was being transported in the helicopter and he started to have a panic attack and ran downstairs onto the street and that's when the helicopter fell on him.

I'm going to miss him, I thought he was really funny on the show.

Gee, what are the odds of losing your arm to a helicopter and then being squashed by one? Guess I will stick with "Without A Trace."

Thanks!

The helicopter didn't just "fall on him". It exploded first after going out of control at takeoff from the hospital roof. Several others were hurt and killed as well. But after it exploded and lost all power it had to fall and guess who it fell on. Quite a concidence I agree - arm taken off from a helicopter and your life taken out from a helicopter. Kinda like the chances of being struck twice by lightening.

Although I found him to be a little humorous, he was also a jerk and I won't miss him.

Were any "remains" found? Are they just assuming he died? Could he possibly have wandered away in a state of shock?

Whoa Romano died!!!! Man I gotta tune back into ER

I kinda wondered that last night too debknight. I mean they start the show off talking about the memorial service. I'm bummed that we didn't get to see them being informed that he died. I was figuring they probably had a party. I feel bad for Elizabeth - I wonder what will happen with her - she seemed very hurt by this.

So why don't we see Ella anymore, Elizabeth and Mark's baby. It seems as if she isn't even a mother anymore.

Did they have the prosthetic arm propped up at the memorial service?

Darn. I fell asleep at 9 and missed it last night!

Last week's crash was so realistic. The next morning, I had to go into Baltimore to see my dentist, and a helicopter was taking off from the roof of ShockTrauma across the street as I was going into the dental school. Talk about getting me a little jumpy!

With all of the tragedy surrounding the helicopter crashing, I was also disappointed that the show last night opened with a memorial service. I would have liked to have seen the impact the announcement of Romano's death had on ER. The writers didn't get into anything about how they found him, knew it was him, nothing. Last nights show was a disappointment.

Does anyone have a guess as to where they are going with the nurses kid?? Strange kid there -- why would he want to steal someones finger (yeah, I know which one he took) but still. Seems to me like there would be some really strict disciplinary actions against him or his mom. And, why is he always hanging around the ER. Do they need a kid in order to get a relationship with Luca and the nurse off to a start?? Far fetched, IMHO.

I think the only reference to Romano being found, was the last week's episode, the final scene was a crew with a crane lifting the wreck of the helicopter up off the ground, and someone looking underneath.

Not a good transition, but then again, how would you transition an episode where you just found out he died to the storyline from last night? I don't think they could have fit it all in one episode, and probably wasn't enough material to stretch it into two episodes.

I'm not quite sure what is up with the kid either. Here is what I thought was going to revolve around the helicopter thing:

I thought because Luca did that ct scan on the kid and then he showed his mom that they would find something and he'd have to be airlifted immediately to Children's or something and then the helicopter exploded with the kid and Luca would be there to console the mom and they would become involved. I know - farfetched and creepy but it's happened before on shows.

So now I'm wondering if there isn't something that is going to creep up wrong with this kid soon and Luca will be there to console her and be there for her? I think he "wants" her but doesn't want to cross that bounds yet. I don't know.

Oh shoot, I didn't think it was new. I missed it because I had to work. Any good details?

I thought the heliocopter thing was good. Last year a medivac chopper went down in our area. The same problem, a wind draft caught it and down it went. One survivor out of the 4 on board.

I actually don't watch ER much, but I just wanted to post and say that Paul McCrane (Romano) is a friend of mine. We worked for several summers together at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Connecticut. He's a really great guy, very funny! Anyway, just wanted to let yall know about my little brush with fame. ;)

It's funny, when I saw Paul McCrane in Robocop the first time, I said "Look, it's monty!"

Then when he showed up on ER, for a few months, "You're dead, we killed you" ran through my head every time he appeared on screen!
