How did i mess this up (school vent!)

Im just frustrated so typing it here..
I have a project that i worked on weeks ago (not due til March 27)..I wrote down what the professor told me (10 inventors including 4 african american)..So i finished it a couple weeks ago so i wouldnt have to worry about it..Well i was just on the professor's website and it says its 10 inventors:6 american inventors, including african american..and 4 inventors from other countries..
Now i have to redo half of my powerpoint presentation, i already printed out copies i made for the entire class..now i have to do it all again!
Im way to stressed lately hahaha
Does anyone know about any webpages that have inventors from other countries--or ideas on who to research? I keepcoming back to US inventors

Do they have to be modern? I was thinking maybe some from Ancient Greece would be easy to research. Sorry your prof did that to you. Is there a way you can prove that he/she told you differently in the beginning? Not trying to say you should cause waves, but, as a teacher, I sometimes I say things differently than I put on paper (hey, we're all human!!). Sometimes many students say "but you said this.....". I usually go with what they say. I'd talk to the prof and see what you can do before redoing everything. Good luck! (BTW, I wish all my students were as concientious as you seem to be!!!)

You also might want to check the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (www.uspto.gov) and see if they have any resources for you.

Can you talk to your professor and see if you can turn it in as-is? I've made big mistakes like that before and the professor let me adapt the assignment.

I have one class (undergrad lit class) where there are quite a few grad students and the professor wants us to write a research paper. I asked her if we could so something different instead and she was fine with it.

It doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks everyone for your replies--I was just so frustrated but i felt better after typing this!
Unfortunately, there is no way for me to prove what she said, but i take detailed notes and have it written down as how i was doing the project..I think i just had a mini meltdown when i saw it was different!

After using the link (thanks tiggersmom!) i was able to find 4 inventions (xrays, velcro, rubiks cube, legos) and ill use them...It wont be too much more work, its just the point! Ill have to fix the powerpoint then take it to the campus and print out a ton of copies..
