Ok, I just got back from a quick weekend trip with DH for our 6th anniversary. I have been trying for eons to figure out how to take pictures of the night time shows, and dark rides. Let me know what you think.

While we were there we got picked to win one of the "Milliion Dreams" ours was getting Disney/MGM Studios to ourselves. For one hour after the park closed we had MGM (along with about 100 other people) all to ourselves, with all of the major attractions open. We had a blast. I have included some of those pictures also.

These were taken during our Dream magic hour. While we were waiting for the park to clear we got a concert from Mulch Sweat and Shears, which was really cool then Minnie and Mickey came out and sent us on our way.

Nope, no tripod. They were all handheld, which is why some of them are a little blurry. I have two lenses a 28-70mm Sigma and a 70-300 Sigma. Most were taken using the 28-70.

Awesome pictures!! :thumbsup2 I have to know - how close were you sitting for Fantasmic? Those pictures were amazing. And I can't believe all your night-time shots were handheld. You must not drink any caffeine, LOL!

And congrats on winning one of the Year of a Million Dreams prizes! :cheer2: MGM with no lines........that is really a dream!

Oh, such nice pictures! You have some steady hands there, too! My favorite among them is the one of Minnie and Mickey at the Crossroads is really great! How lucky you were to win such a wonderful prize as well. I love the Studios! Thanks for sharing your special trip.

Nice shots!!! :thumbsup2

What an opportunity! To be there without all the crowds........

Seriously, we were sitting in the very front row, actually the little 4 seater bench in front of the front row... you know right by the fence!! The pictures turned out REALLY well, unfortunately I spent the entire show listening to my DH swear he hated me and he was gonna kill me. It was WINDY saturday night and whenever the water would come up it would spray ALL over us. He even threatened to NOT get me a sweat shirt since it was my idea to sit so close!! I think the reason they came out so clear was because I had the ISO at 1600, and a fast shutter speed. I am still figuring all of that out, but I think that's what helped.

I think that is my favorite character photo I have ever taken. It just turned out so neat with all the neon lights behind.

Great photos. Love the Mickey & Minnie one!

What camera do you use?

I have a digital Rebel. I got it last year, and absolutely love it. Though it is definately taking a while to figure out all of the manual functions.

:woohoo: nice prize! looks like you had lots of fun

What an awesome dream to win and how cool that it was on your anniversary trip! Great photos!

GREAT PICTURES!

I would love to be able to take ones like yours. I have a simple point & shoot Canon, which I love, but it's not exactly sophisticated. I think there's a lot I can do, but I don't really understand all the directions :rotfl:

How did you take the Herbie shot? It's perfectly focused, yet everything else appears to be moving. I love it!
