just wondering if anyone who has been to aquatica enjoyed it more than Blizzard Beach or Typhoon lagoon? Any comparisons?

I would love to know too, we are stongly considering going to Aquatica this upcomming trip, but would love to know how it holds up to TL & BB....

We just got back from Aquatica and have also been to TL and BB so here is my comment.

Aquatica is a different experience and worth a visit but do not go expecting the same thing as BB or TL.

If you are into lazy rivers or wave pools you may be disappointed in Aquatica.
The lazy river at Aquatica is small and has only one entrance / exit which can get clogged up.

Aquatica's wave pool is more like the one at BB, if you go to TL for the big wave every 90 seconds you may not like Aquatica's wave pool.

Aquatica has a rapid river that is an experience worth trying out. Everyone in our group enjoyed this more than the lazy river at any water park. This is a must see experience.

Aquatica has some fun water slides that are worth trying out. The family rafts go fast and are also worth a visit to try out. The big hyped doplin slide is not as great as expected. The underwater section is too short to really experience the dolphins underwater. Blink and you will miss them.

Aquatica will not replace either BB or TL but should become a good compliment to water parks in the area.

I went to Typhoon this past weekend for the first time since Aquatica opened, so I couldn't help but mentally compare the two. They are similar enough that I don't think you'd want to do both in the same week--both try for a beachy, tropical feel. Given the layout, Aquatica "feels" bigger, and I think it has more rides. I also find Aquatica more relaxing.

That said, I agree with Gary, each park has its strong points--rapids ride at Aquatica is amazing and the non-slide views of the Commersons dolphins are fun, TL has the better wave pool (and, I would add, the unique Crush n Gusher).

I think the biggest thing to see is if Aquatica holds to its stated goal of keeping crowds low. My biggest complaint about TL is that we showed up only an hour after opening, and already every louge chair was taken. And during the Summer, the wave pool gets so packed you can barely move. This might end up giving Aquatica the edge.

Also, I don't have kids, but there seems a lot more to do at Aquatica than TL for kids, say, 8 and under.
