how crowded is the first two weeks in Oct?

Hi everyone!

We are planning a huge (16 so far) family vacation in October of 2011. We know, far off, but this way we get our Disney fix by planning and being on the boards. We usually go in the middle of September and it is great. Low crowds, not toooo hot, etc. I want to know how it'll be in October. Also, any suggestions on activities beyond Disney would be great.

At least half our group will be first time Disney visitors (Two being our currently 4 month old twins). Yeah! This is so our dream.
