How crowded is "crowded"?

I realize spring break/Easter will be crowded and wait times will be long. (We will be one site, so that will help.) But my question is how crowded will it feel? One thing I always hated about WDW was just trying to walk through the crowds. People stopped in the middle of the sidewalk, etc.

If you don't care about going on the rides, how relaxing is the park during Easter week?

Oh it can be very trying on your patience when your shoulder to shoulder allday long.I love the ones that power walk and try to run through you.I'm only 5'9 and had 6' plus people try it to find that i don't move that easy.:rotfl:

Thats whats great about staying on-site,you can go back to the resort anytime to get away from it..

I was there for a few days after Christmas and it wasn't the mob scene Disney is. I'd expect Easter to be a lot like after Christmas crowd wise.

The waits were long, even with FOTL you can expect 40-50 minutes, but without FOTL the waits were up to 160 minutes. Even my husband who hates park crowds said it wasn't too bad. I never was in a situation where I couldn't move and I have been at Disney before.

Decatur, as in Georgia? I've never seen USO as bad as a typical Atlanta street festival.

I think this spring break will be very busy.People are hoping HP will be open by then.

I will be there the Sunday, Monday & Tuesday before Thanksgiving...so probably expect big crowds?

If you ask me, a crowded Disney feels more crowded than a crowded Universal. Disney has to many things that keep people in the streets like parades (nightmarish) and fireworks (kill yourself), whereas at Universal, most people are usually in line for the rides or navigating themselves there.

Having the on-site FOTL will be a huge advantage but you'll still feel the crowds when you're heading into the park and at restaurants and such.

I am going the last week of April...I am assuming the crowds shouldnt be too heavy at this time since thats outside the Spring Break window...right?

Before Thanksgiving isn't bad at all. The crowds are really bad the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. But it's hard to predict what it will be like this year with Harry Potter being open by then.

Decator, it never seems as crowded at Universal Studios because there aren't as many strollers.

45 minute waits with FOTL? Is that true? We are driving down from Atlanta and staying at PBH so we will have a car and FOTL. But I am not sure I even want to deal with crowds like that. I may come down for a long weekend in March or wait until the fall. What would you do?

We were there Christmas of '08 and the longest we waited for any ride was MAYBE 20 minutes....

I was just there (at Univeral Studios only) this past weekend (2/14/10) and the longest wait we had was maybe 15 minutes. Many of the signs at the queues stated 20-30 minutes, but we never waited that long. We did not have the front of the line pass, but I never saw that line wait more than 3-5 minutes (that was at MIB). The worst was the rocket which stated 60 minutes, but we never got in that line so I can't tell you how long the wait really was.

Was that before or after Christmas? Big difference with after Christmas crowds being much heavier.

Yes, very true for both the Hulk and Dueling Dragons on Dec. 29th. We were trying to catch one before we had to head out and didn't have time for either one. Not sure exactly what Spidey was, but the line was outside and wrapped around the building so we didn't even ask about that! We did end up riding Dr. Doom in about 20 minutes. Now that was Christmas so I can't say for sure Easter will be the same.

I've never really waited more than 20 minutes with FOTL. If the Express line looks too long to me, I'll just get out of line and come back.

I think the worst queue I've seen there is 2 hours, although that's bad enough. Thankfully in the morning and evening it's less busy. Although I haven't been to either for a few years.
