How crowded is a 6 crowd level by Easy WDW?

You know what would be interesting? A series of photos of the same landmark on each crowd level day. I'm imagining an overhead shot of the the MK hub at 10 am and 2pm on each type of day.

Anyone seen anything like that?

I think it's getting more difficult to make any correlation between visual crowd density and attraction wait times. I was in the parks over Thanksgiving and while the parks themselves didn't look or "feel" as crowded to us as the same holiday every year for the last five, the wait times were way up there as you would expect them to be. There were times when we would be standing outside Test Track, looking at 100 minute standby and 50 minute single rider wait times, and I could have counted on two hands the number of people standing around me. FP+ seems to do a good job of distributing people onto attractions, into lines, and out of view most of the time. It was, for lack of a better descriptive, very unusual.

We have been in the second half of August the last two years. It is definitely getting busier each year. We are going back and hoping that with the construction and expected 2017 openings, some might delay their vacations. Isn't looking good though.

End of Aug is getting busier each year. Many Northern schools and mid western schools start after Labor Day, so people from those states go at the end of Aug. Only the southern schools start in Aug. I really don't think the 3rd week of Aug is too bad crowd wise, it's the heat and humidity that you have to worry about!

We have been the last week of August three times, including the last two years. We thought last year was the least crowded we have seen that week.

Asking for anecdotal reports of how busy a park will be at a certain time or at a certain level is a fool's errand. People have different expectations and perceptions (not to mention different touring styles and different ways of choosing their parks each day).

I think it is fair to say - as fact, not opinion - that August gets less busy as each week passes. The later you can go, the better. I also think most would say not to bother avoiding the weekends (except for Saturday at the Magic Kingdom - Saturdays at Animal Kingdom are usually wonderful.)

We live in northern Virginia and this year our kids will be returning to school before Labor Day for literally the first time ever. I think a lot of school districts in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast are changing their usual pattern this year (most of the South, Midwest and West already goes back before Labor Day).

We went in August 2014, right before Labor Day, and I thought the parks were practically deserted. We did TSM with 20 & 25 minute waits in the afternoon, if that gives you any indication of how crowded it was.

To whoever thought Jersey Week might be better...NO. That's one of the most crowded weekends of the off season!

It's long been our experience that Easy WDW's crowd level predictions are underestimated. Given that, I would say that a Level 6 should be fairly crowded.

Yeah or perhaps more likely your expectations need to be readjusted to the reality of visiting Disney World in the year 2015.
