How crowded during Gay Days

Could anyone tell me how crowded the parks are during gay days as opposed to July? We are planning on going in May because it's less crowded but July would actually work out better for us. So I'm trying to find out which would be less crowded. Thanks

dont know about gay day but we went in late july and it was packed. over 1 hr waits on all the good rides. better value i think to go in may just depends when you go.

It helps to get to the parks early with a basic plan of riding the really important rides early so you don't have to wait to long and to get Fast Passes for later. We have been during this time for the last 2 years and only once did we wait more than 30 minutes for any ride or show.

Gay days are usually the first weekend in June. So if you were going in May, you would miss that. July is alot busier than May but if you know that going in, you could do everything you wanted without getting too frustrated.

We have visited WDW during early June for the last 4 years and this has also been our experience. The first Saturday in June is usually Gay Day at MK so you probably want to avoid that park due to higher than usual crowds.(But then we have never been to MK on any Saturday in June).

It is crowded on that day, but if you plan your fast passes and rely on those, you won't have a problem. The crowd thins out more as the late afternoon progresses.

We will be in the parks from June 5-8. I thought the 'Gay Days' event was only on the weekend. Do you think the crowds will continue into the next week?

We are hoping the temps are a bit lower than the last week of June (when we went last year) or in July (when we went two years ago).

there is a schedule of events posted on their web sight ( the gay days sight) it tells you what days they are at each park event etc.... If you are worried about crowds just go to a different park on that day.. you will still have the occasional couple trying to avoid the crowds alos but for the most part they tend to do each park together and stick to the schedule...
It use to be that the parks were not crowded but now there seems to be just as many people going last year the parks were pretty crowded that 1st week in june.. also that is usually a pretty rainy time.. ;ast year it rained almost the whole time by july it settles into the typical pattern of afternoon showers only...

We go Memorial Day weekend every year and stay through first weekend in June. The Gay Days normally start on Thursday with a designated park each day through Sunday. Saturday is always MK day, so just avoid the park of the day and you can avoid most of the crowds. It is a busy week, most Southern schools are out prior to Memorial Day, but not near as busy as July. Last year, it was rainy from mid-week through the weekend. We still had a great time, take advantage of the pool or water parks on sunny days. You never know when the rain will move in and whether it will just be a shower or set-in for the day that time of year.

Early June is a much nicer time to go than July. It is VERY CROWDED at MK on the actual gay day (Saturday). Otherwise, it's less crowded than July IMO. We have been twice in July and it rained like crazy both times. We've had one rainy trip out of five in early June.

We were there in 2005, and Star Wars weekends was also going on. It was VERY crowded at MGM and just regular crowded at the other parks. We will be back this year for the same time period! Loved Star Wars Weekends!
