How crowded can I expect the pool to be at BCV in July?

Planning for pool days on Friday and Saturday at BCV. Will we be able to find some shady seats for most of the day?

Wondering if it might be worth it to get a cabana for a full or half day if the pool area will be super crowded. It looks like there is mixed reviews about what drinks (if any) are provided at the cabana. Anyone know for sure?

$150 for a half day and $250 for a full day correct?

We were at BC this past July and we didn't have much of an issue finding shaded loungers - there's a really nice tree on one side that helps a lot. The earlier you can get there the better though.

Nobody will know that answer this year due to COVID. Will they have to clear half the chairs from the pool area for social distancing? what will attendance be like? Etc. If it’s refundable I would book something now and see how crowds shake out. Their offerings and service might also see drastic changes so keep an eye on that...

I think if they reopen and based on what people are doing around here when our beaches reopened that it will probably be crowded:(

I think you may be right. All the guests at the YC, BC and BCV be taking advantage of the pool if the theme parks allow limited guests.

I know our beaches are packed with people coming from SE Florida since their beaches are still closed.

I would assume capacity will be limited at the pools just like it would be in the parks that would prevent over crowding.

I honestly don't think anyone can answer this question right now. This July will look vastly different from any July anyone has ever experienced at BC/YC. I, personally, would wait for any announcements to see what pool regulations will look like and go from there. No one even knows if they will make cabanas available in July or if the pools will even be open. I can pretty much guarantee, however, WDW will do everything in their power to ensure no area on their property will be "super crowded" in July.

Thats one crowded pool in the hot months. I entirely expect chairs to be removed for social distancing and most likely a cap set on the # of people at SAB at a time. Id rent a cabana for sure. It will guarantee personal space and most likely entrance to the pool if they have limitations in place. The drinks are just soda and water. Not sure how someone could complain about that but people find a way!

You are probably right. How sad would it be if you would have to wait to get into the pool area until people leave. If going I would agree with a PP and definitely reserve a cabana to hopefully guarantee getting in.

Pricing changes so you would need to call for your exact dates for pricing. The Cabana has a small refrigerator with water and soda, definitely coke, sprite, Dr. Pepper, and small Desani water bottles last we rented one, I am sure there was a diet soda offered too I just don't remember which it was. Also, a nice fruit tray was provided for half day rentals, I think there is also a dessert tray for full day rentals but we never did a full day. I 100% recommend a cabana.

There are so many unknowns. hard to imagine how the social distancing could work and remain unobtrusive or have some impact on having fun.
Will all chairs have to be six feet apart?
Family groups together only?
How in the world do you keep little ones form wanting to play with other little kids?
Face masks poolside..?
Some people complain loudly about the slightest in convience.
How many times have I heard we are spending x amount of dollars to stay here and ....insert complaint here...
Imagine pays no fr a room at BC and being told pool is a capacity you can't enter?

In any scenario I do not think that it will be anything like the past fro a long time. Certainly not for July if that is when hotels open to guests.

I’d been considering a cabana without even thinking about the advantages as far as capacity limits go. I’m not sure we’re keeping our reservation, but I think I’ll call and book one just in case. I know it’s refundable, just not sure how far in advance you have to cancel, need to double check that. Thanks for the reminder.

We just booked a cabana for our first week of July stay at YC. They told us we could cancel up to 24 hours ahead of time. Hoping everything works out!

I would buy a Cabana. People start lining up before the pool opens to get one of the few tables and shady spots.
