How crazy will the line for Mickey be at opening?

When I am going to MK this spring, MK opens at 8am, but the Disney website listed that Mickey won't start meeting guests at Town Square Theater until 9am. I plan on getting there at RD, riding a few things in FL and then heading over to TSqT. Do you think if I get to the location a little before 9am, the line will be crazy long?

Talking Mickey meets guests when the park opens. His meet time probably hasn't been adjusted.

Last year at an 8:00 opening, we met Mickey with a short wait at 8:30.

Unless Mickey is now dressing up like this...

....the wait won't be bad at all.

That is why I'm happy I don't plan on seeing them, would love to, but the line is way too long!! Thank you though, that made me smile and made me feel better! :)

AWESOME! Thanks for the great info, I would probably go visit him around the same time, or a little later! :)

WHat do you mean "talking mickey". Is there a talking mickey?

Yes, only in Town Square Theater and only if he feels up to talking.

There are a lot of components involved to enable Mickey to "verbally" interact with his guests. He has been known to sing "Happy Birthday" as well as congratulate guests celebrating anniversaries.

It's best not to tell young guests that Mickey talks in case he isn't up to talking at the moment of your visit.

When I was in MK is the summer, Mickey did a magic trick for me! It was so cute! :) Hoping he feels like talking in the spring, but if not I won't be sad, he's still Mickey! :)

We went in the afternoon during the festival of fantasy parade (we were on our way out for a mid day break) and literally walked right in. When watching the wait times on my phone it seemed mornings were a little longer though first thing would probably avoid that.
Talking Mickey was the highlight of our last trip for my boys. He was really excited about the Mickey stuffed animals my younger son brought to show him, chatted about their birthdays (one turned 5 a few days before and one turned 8 during) - Mickey was the only one who could get my 5yo to answer how old he was, and he sung happy birthday - it was a lot of fun and like I said a highlight of the trip :) I would suggest not telling the kids that he talks though as others have stated. I had told mine and my one son would have been really upset if that ended up not being the case.

I agree. Talking Mickey was a surprise hit of our last trip.

He is very impressive, especially when he started spouting off in Portuguese to the Brazilian family ahead of us.
