Specifically the 20-27? I know its super busy, My husband struggled with mid Aug crowds, I wasnt as bothered but I was in my happy place so not even the crowds could dampen it.

Pretty much the busiest week of the year. Days during that week may have the parks closed to new guests due to capacity. New Years eve is the worst.

I've been during that week. When I was in college it was the only time I could go. It's not as bad as it may seem. Yes, it's packed. But, it's still very manageable if you are well versed in planning your Disney day. From what I remember, lines for food were the worst. If your husband was that bothered by August, then yeah, Christmas is not a good idea. But the weather is usually a lot cooler, which makes my patience for crowds increase exponentially.

Agree with the above posters. If your husband was uncomfortable with August crowds, then Christmas week crowds will be miserable for him.

We went on Christmas once. So glad we did it, but never again! Much worse than August. At one point we were single file through the park. It was just so bad. We escaped to DCA. Tho this was in 2001, I expect it is the same or worse given the other crowds nowadays!

We went Christmas day and the following 2 days in 2014. It was overwhelming crowded. We will never return during Christmas again.

We went the day after Christmas a few years ago. It took us an hour to get OFF the freeway and park. The area by IASW and the storybook Canals was one gigantic mass of people, and that's a wide walkway! We did one ride and left right after. I will never go again.

We've been on Christmas morning and it's pretty empty until around 11am.

Passholders are for the most part really blocked out during the Christmas Week - so it may be a great time of year to go!

When Disney blocks passes, it's because they expect higher crowds. The more passes they block, the higher they expect the crowds to be. If Disney has blocked most of the passes, they expect the parks to be packed.

I would just try for early December anything before the 18th if possible, or for early January after the 4th.

To me honestly Christmas at Disney is not worth the hassle. I'd rather put the money towards a relaxing vacation like Hawaii, or try for a different time if possible.

When I hear trip reports from Christmas they all make me think of Christmas movies where everything imaginable goes wrong but always ends happily because the family made it through it. Haha so if Those movies ever seemed like fun to you , enjoy.

Stupid crazy busy.... when I got my new AP, I chose to not get the one that includes those two weeks as I promised I would NEVER go again. Plenty of time to see the holiday makeover other times.

We go every year for Christmas. The busiest day (next to NYE) is Dec 26th. If he had problems with July or Aug crowds, he will be absolutely miserable. Expect turnstile closures from 12/26=12/31. It will close, but it will reopen after parades 12/26-12/30. Plan to eat off times, and make reservations for any sit down restaurants. I remember hearing someone walk up to Blue Bayou last year on Christmas and after being told they weren't taking walk ups, they asked when was the next reservation was, and the response was Jan 2nd....

We will be there Dec 22 to Jan 4.
