How come DVC members staying on points only get Housekeeping every 4 days?

We haven't had our 1st stay at our new home yet (come on December!!) but I actually don't think I'm going to mind the "lack" of housekeeping. Like others have said, I prefer not to have people in our room.

This is very simple to answer. It's because DVC members are the tidiest of all the resort guests. There are no other guests as tidy as we are. We are not at all like the riff raff that think the resort is one large garbage can. I'm not going to mention any names but they know who they are . . .

And truthfully, most people do not "miss" daily housekeeping. Most people don't change their sheets and towels daily at home. I prefer not to have housekeeping in the room daily.

I'm with you! I prefer them not to be in there everyday.

We just returned from a week at HHI booked on cash, so we had housekeeping daily. We thought it was a PITA. They always came when we were there. Always had to make sure everything was locked up before we left.

The morning of checkout we had forgot to hang the Privacy Please sign on the door and they knocked at 9 AM. DH was not happy.

Much prefer the DVC way! My DH even commented that we should just call the front desk and have them cancel the housekeeping.

We also like it the way it is. We come and go alot and enjoy not having to be concerned with housekeeping being in our room. We "tidy up" when we wake up in the morning and we're ready for the day. For us, the decreased housekeeping is much more relaxing.
