How close is the nearest McDonald's to your house?

That's true in my case. I know you are asking about Walmart and McDonalds separately, but every Walmart here has a McDonalds in it.

All the new Walmart's here have Subways!

4 miles to Mickey D's and about 10 to either Wal Mart. Keep in mind though that I live in NJ, and anything over a 5 mile drive is considered "far."

I'm reading the book,The Average American, and it's about the author's quest to find the average American. One of the statistics says that the average American lives within three miles of a McDonald's.

It also says that the average American lives within twenty minutes of a Walmart.

How about you?

Wow, I must be really average then! The McDonalds is less than a mile, and the Walmart is 5-7 minutes away.

The nearest McDonald's is about 1 mile away, the nearest Walmart about 4 miles away. There are 4 Walmarts within 20 minutes from my home.

I have 4 McDonalds that are within 3 miles from my house and I have 2 Walmarts within 10 miles from my house. I also have a SuperTarget less than 3 miles from my house.

Walmart is a 45 min drive.

The closest grocery store is 8 miles.

The neighborhood that we live in, isn't really rural, but we aren't exactly in town either. We are basically on the the verge of rural.....but everything is building TOWARDS us.

Anyway....closest McDonald's would also be the same as the closest Wal Mart - since our Wal Mart has Mickey D's inside. It's about a 10 - 15 minute drive. I would guess it to be about 10 miles away. It is just off the turnpike, so it's pretty easy to get to.

There are 2 McD's that are both about a half mile from my house in opposite directions but on the same road. (I always wondered why they are so close together.)

One Wal-Mart is 10 mins. from my house and 2 others are about 15 mins. away and they both have McD's in them.

Closest McD is 6 miles. About 15 minutes to Walmart. We are on the edge of town, so the only thing less than 6 miles away is a gas station. Tons of houses out here though. And a river!

There is a McDonalds about 4 blocks from my house in either direction. The nearest Wal-Mart is about 25 minutes away, they can't build in the city right now.

I'm very HAPPY to say that the closest McDonalds is 25 miles and the closest Walmart is about 30 miles. That's how I like it.

The closest McDonald's is about 7 blocks away from our apartment, but here in the city, they deliver!! We order it about once every other month for a Big Mac fix...

As far as Walmart, I haven't a clue...you'd have to drive out of the city to find one, so it would be quite a hike...

Well I had no idea seeing as how we dont eat there. I went to their website and found out that there are 3 McDonalds within 3 miles of my house! Is that REALLY necessary?

WalMart is 7.8 miles and 12 minutes away.

There are two, if not three McDonald's within 3 miles of my house.

WalMart was not within 20 minutes of my house for a long, long time. Just last Spring one opened up about exactly 20 minutes away. Before they were about 35 minutes. Oregon hasn't been super WalMart friendly & it takes a long time for communities to approve WalMarts around here it seems.

ETA- I went to the WalMart about 35-40 minutes away from my house a week or so ago; it was one of those super WalMarts with a grocery store and McDonalds in it...you could order your McDonald's while paying for your merchandise at the checkstand! then your food would be ready for you to pick up on the way out! I was so fascinated by that! They had a mini menu at the checkstand and everything! Thought it tied into the post in a goofy sort of way.
