How close did you get

Whilst on kilimanjaro Safari we had an ostrich approach the vehicle and start pecking at it!! We had to wait for around 10 minutes for it to move on, it was great! Has anyone else had a similar experience

We had an ostrich run right toward our vehicle and it got within 2 feet of me. Then it turned and went down the road crossing in front of us and went down another animal made trail. Then about 5 seconds later, 3 rhinos came running taking the same path the ostrich did (again getting within 2 feet of me). They were actually chasing the ostrich. It was very comical. I loved that attraction at animal kingdom!

We had a rhino within 2 feet of us last trip. A very memorable ride was when antelope came right by our vehicle and the lions stood up hair bristled on their backs ready to pounce. They were looking right at us. Man what a rush! The food chain links dropped a little that day for us

On our last trip we had a girafe stick it's head into the vehicle. That was by far our best ride on the safari.

We've had different animals come with 10 feet but nothing closer .

On our last trip in Oct, we did see 2 rhinos that really needed to get a room! It was diffiicult to explain that to the little ones on the ride!

All of your experiences are too cool!! I've only ridden it once and we didn't have any close encounter. Maybe next year!!

A couple years ago there was a baby giraffe and a mother giraffe that crossed right in front of the car. The baby walked over and stuck it's head into the car and was kinda looking around. I was almost waiting for the little thing to lick me or the mother to get angry but neither happened. To bad he was to close for a good picture.

The first time I went on the safari we had a rhino run across the road right in front of our vehicle. The driver had to stop really quick in order not to hit it. I thought it was kinda neat.
