How close can FPP and dining be?

If we have an ADR for 6 pm - can I have a FPP from 5-6pm? What kind of timing does the system allow for?

It now allows overlap...it just flags the FP+ reservation with a warning that says it overlaps the dining reservation. Their own picks (even "Best Option") often do this. I had no trouble moving the times around so they didn't conflict with my dining reservation...but the system will allow for overlap so in your case you would be totally fine.

I don't think the system locks out conflicting FP/ADR, though I'm not 100% sure.
I can't imagine it not allowing a 5 - 6 FP and a 6pm ADR within the same park. It would be very easy to use the FP at 5 and have tons of time to get to the ADR.
In looking at my schedule, I do have a 12 - 1 Maelstrom FP and a 1:10 Le Cellier ADR (though the ADR was actually made by my friend with me listed as one of the party)
oh... and I have a Peter Pan at 4:25 - 5:25 followed by Cap May at 5:35! That's arrival day and I probably won't even use it, just made three because i was in the system making a 7DMT FP. But the system let me do it.

This is so good to know, thank you! We have lunch ADRs on a couple of our days and now I won't worry if the back end of my FP time overlaps my ADR time.

When I went in November (it was still very new) it didn't allow any overlap. It made it a little chaotic to plan. So, sometimes you would have big gaps between attractions or meals but it wasn't enough time to go do something else. So glad they've fixed it! Thanks!

I was glad to see the fix too...though I personally prefer to not have overlap if there's an option. But when it's the only slot you can get I am glad to have the option now.
