How close are you to a tourist "interest"??

I live about 5 miles from Ft. Myers Beach and about 2 miles from Sanibel Island. it's a very beautiful area if you haven't been here.

Must be mighty chilly up in the Northern parts, because we are about filled to capacity down here!!

I'm 15 minutes from NASA and Space Center Houston, and 20 minutes from Galveston. Do those count? (Even though I personally don't like Galveston)

My town is a tourist town in the summer! It is wonderful here from Sept-May then in June the town gets mobbed! I live a few blocks from the beach. We are also the next island south of Atlantic City (only 8 miles). DH works in a casino.

You forgot to mention that finding a parking spot on said island at any time during the summer is a real pain in the you know what...LOL. I live in Ventnor...right next door to good ol' Atlantic City. I too work in a casino! :teeth:

I live 20 blocks from the White House and all the other attractions in D.C. Right now, I wish I didn't. I live right in Georgetown, which is a tourist attraction in itself, and a couple of blocks away from Georgetown University.

Hmmm, lets see, I live about 30 minutes from Annapolis and the Naval Academy, about 3 hours away from the beach (Ocean City, Maryland or Virginia Beach, Virginia).

CPM, I'm headed your way this year. You are so lucky to live so close to Sanibel Island. :)

As for me, I live 3 houses from the Ocean City Boardwalk. I can look out my windows and see the ferris wheel. And yes, parking is insane. I have the parking ticket bill to prove it.

We live about an hours drive from Wisconsin Dells, which is turning into a year-round tourist attraction, several of the hotels now have indoor waterparks, one of which we are going to next month!!!

We are the next town from North Conway, NH, in the Mount Washington valley. There are lots of tourists both winter and summer. We are having a heat wave right now: 5 above.
