How can you use a SW credit?

I booked flights for three people under one reservation. I later changed those flights to different ones and now have a credit for $260, as each individual flight was cheaper...

Does that mean that there is an $87.00 credit in each of our names, or can I use $260.00 to book a flight under someone else's name?

Each person has an $87 credit that can only be used by them on a future flight, so you would not be able to book a flight for someone else using those credits.

Yes, several years ago you could pool it all together and book for person but now they keep all funds under each person's name.
