Is there a site that allows you see how many cabins have been reserved on a particular cruise? We'd still like to talk our parents into traveling with us next March but am curious how full the ship is. Thanks much!

I was wondering this as well. My husband wasn't able to book with us due to work. Im still holding out hope he will be able to get a spot last min (wishful thinking though).

Your best bet would be to have a TA check it for you or call DCL directly.

The DCL website may indicate if cabins are available or it will tell you that the catagory you want is full but I don't think it is the best way to find a cabin if your trying last minute.

I went to disneycruise.com and attempted to book for the same cruise I am going on and the same catagory. I tried to reserve a specific stateroom and it only showed 10 rooms left in cat 11. for sept 30

If it sails, it's full or damn close.

I think it is difficult to tell if the ship is really full or not. I tend to believe it probably is near full all the time judging from the demand levels, and ability to offer CM special rates, and so on. Furthermore, I imagine every cruise should have a handful (or less) of empthy cabins. This is probably due to no-shows that have to be held as paid cabines with an unknow disposition on those who paid but failed to cancel.

But - of course, the OP asked how can you tell if it is sold out? Just call directly for availability... that's the true and direct way... unless you have a TA you are comfortable with whom is knoweldgible... than that's what I would do.

Cheers!

you can tell it is full when it can't eat any more. at least, that's how it works when I'm trying to tell if I am full. :rotfl:

What cruise are you wanting to know about?

As long as he is staying in a cabin that can sleep one more person (than the number currently booked in the cabin), he will be able to get added to the reservation. If you need another cabin.......... that's a different story.

DCL only puts a limit on the number of children in each age group, so that they know they have enough room in the Club/Lab.

Not true. There are also restrictions on the number of people in a section due to lifeboat capacity. It is possible to have plenty of room in your cabin, but not enough room on the lifeboats. About two years ago someone ran into that problem here - wanted to add an adult to a room that slept four and only had two people in it, and couldn't.

That makes sense, but I've never heard that one before. Learn something new every day!

That's the way I do it to see what's still available on my cruise, even though I have no intention of reserving another room.

Last summer I wanted to add my m-in-law to one of our staterooms. We had already been booked for over a year and had 4 more months until our cruise. DCL couldn't add her, but did put her on a waiting list. DCL said it was because of a limited number per section. I understood it to be fire laws, but lifeboat space sure makes more sense. About a month later, she was able to be added. This was her first cruise and she fell in love with DCL! There is hope!!! :goodvibes

Sorry repeat it twice!!

Thanks for the help, guys! I did plug in our info on cruisestogo.com and that site showed a few cabins available on our deck so I better start working on my parents. Our sail date is March 31 - the week before Easter - so I know it will be full but was just wondering how fast it will fill. Pretty cool site.
