We're booked for August 2015 (We had to move out our cruise from this year).... I thought it was bad enough booking a DVC villa 11 months in advance.

494 days..... Is there a support group for people in these long wait times? ;)

i have the DCL app downloaded to my iPad, which i use daily. there is a countdown calendar on the app and i have to say, every day i look at that and its is one day less. makes the anticipation better and keeps me excited in a good way.

We might be on the same cruise because my count down says 494 days too! Disney Dream?

I can't stand the wait either! But I'll continue to "stalk" these Disboards to get all my info again (all the pictures and posts make me more excited)!

Hopefully 494 days will go by very fast!

We book for March 2015 so we have a full year and its torture. Actually we booked 2 we are doing a 4 day with my Mom and then two days after we get back DH and I will do a 7 day. I joined the facebook group for one and started a facebook group for the 3/23 sailing because there wasn't one but those have been very slow to catch on. I just want to go already!

See if thee is a cruise meet thread for your cruise. You are all in the same boat. Pun intended.:rotfl2:

No Fantasy Eastern Caribbean... I guess I could simply IGNORE the fact I have a cruise booked and after my June WDW trip just focus on the fact we're going to DL in December for our friend's wedding. It won't be that bad if I count down from then.... wonder if I'll be able to 'forget' I've booked for 8 months ;)

Not sure about a support group :confused3.. But with the way cruises go by so quickly, I find I really enjoy having cruises scheduled way in advance (cruises presently scheduled for, May, October, NYE & June 2015). It gives me a lot of time to think & plan for each cruise. Need to make sure we book DVC, e.g. which resort & how many days. What if any excursions, Spa or no Spa, Speciality Dinning etc. The other nice part for me is during the cold bleak winter months, I always have a wonderful cruise :boat: & Castaway Cay :beach: to look forward to. ::yes::

I'm 305 days away until the Sail Away party. I was just thinking that this morning! How am I going to stand the wait? And probably, more importantly, how is everyone going to stand me?!
I feel that the anticipation of the vacation is almost of fun as the vacation itself. I love dreaming, planning, thinking and looking at the disboards!

You can do this! I booked our July cruise in February 2013...526 days out. At times the wait has been absolutely agonizing, but now we're less than 90 days away and I don't feel like I have time to get everything done. :)

My biggest regret is letting the plan leak to the kids so early. DD8 snuck up on me while I was planning and immediately ran to tell her sister. Might have been easier if they weren't constantly asking me how many days are left and if they can start packing yet!!

I can totally relate. We booked our cruise Feb 2013, 14 months ahead. But now we're leaving next week! It's given me lots of time to get everything taken care of, a packing list made a made out so I've had time to add things and pick things up around the house that I hadn't thought of before, etc. It just makes it go much smoother when you have soooo much time to think about it.

It is really hard though, sometimes I would just have to forget about it, but I just want to leave now!

hello all, I am a cruisaholic. Haven't gone more than 85 days without a cruise in more than 3 years. Leave Friday for the next two DCL cruises. Get help while you can, save yourselves, and don't walk towards the light.........

The disboards is my support group :thumbsup2

I booked my two upcoming cruises in Feb last year and it has been a long wait. We did have the Fantasy Eastern last July so that helped a bit. I have been keeping busy this year by booking all my excursions (independent of DCL) and making travel arrangements.

I'm all checked in and ready to go for next month. I get to check in for the Alaska cruise this Sunday :cool1:
After that, I really will have nothing to do but wait ;)

^This:goodvibes and since we live near DL (if not going to the parks), we hit Downtown Disney for a quick Disney fix.

Feel your pain. Booked in January, leaving late august.

My DW had to give me a gag order so I stopped talking about it every day. (I can only talk about it if she brings it up)

122 days left to go!

This!
We booked our cruise 14 months out and it's been torture waiting for the day to come. I racked up over 1k posts so far while waiting, and still more waiting to go.:guilty:

We booked our August, 2014 while onboard our first cruise in February, 2013. A whole year and a half wait!!! Now we're down to 116 days. The wait was a little easier because I didn't tell DD11 about it until a couple of days ago....if we had to talk about it every day it would have dragged. Now it's just fun. We also took a short trip to WDW last August, so the time between Disney fixes hasn't been too bad:).

I feel like this year until our trip (now a week and a half away!) went by fast!

I worked on paying for the cruise, picking and planning excursions, paying for the excursions, practicing for the 5K and getting fitter and healthier, picked out pirate outfits and mermaid outfits and finally, made a themepark dinner reservation.

I suppose the losing twenty pounds, running more efficiently, and overall working out has been what made it fly by. Seems like when you have a goal in terms of $$ saved or weight loss.... well the time is going by VERY fast! HOW IS THAT...

Oh also would like to add that our family (living apart across different states) seems to like crafting things. For the last 6-8 weeks or so I've been designing the best adjustable wedding ring stand ins to give as gifts (and then we can we the jewelry all over too!) I'm also making some cute necklaces with charms that say 'Dream' and 'Journey'! Can't wait to finish my projects and give them to everybody.

Twin is making me a shell top for my mermaid fin. I've never sewn and pieced one together myself... but it sounds like its quite a lengthy amount of time needed for her to complete it -and the shells are apparently real heavy!

I also found a matching DWD park backpack for my other sister; I've decorated the outside of the bag with gems and Eiffel Tower buttons for her (Paris is her thing.) So I've been busy making lots of goodies I will get to give out. Makes me happy all this time thinking about it.

To me, the Fish Extender idea is also in line with that. Keeping busy making things that didn't exist before you made them -which means they are very special! Makes sharing gifts even more fun! And I had like many weeks to work on them. Perfect them. Wear them around and see which materials got dinged up, and then try new designs etc etc.

I do think the planning and pre-paying definitely spreads my vacation fun out for me. I've had a whole year to think about it and look forward to! Unfortunately my attention span is really suffering right now. Now that the trip is so close, I'm pretty much useless about other things. Like work......

Likewise...too bad I have a longer to wait than you do and my brain has been on short timer's syndrome for the past few months. It's even taken over my sleep. I keep dreaming about packing, forgetting things, and stuff.

Every cruise we have booked has always been when the dates first appear for booking. So it is typically about a year and a half out and the first two cruise were very hard to patiently wait for. The third cruise not as bad and now we're just use to it.

So I guess the answer to your problem is to keep booking Disney cruises until it's no big deal :rotfl2::rotfl:;)
