My little girl got a buzz light up spin around toy.. I asked her tonight.. do you really like that toy (she never plays with it.. she always said it was a boy toy... she got it as a gift I think..) anyways.. its like new.. we thought about taking it with us and giving it to a buzz fan... Can you imagine lighting up a little boys eyes when he gets the buzz spin toy! I can't wait! I am going to let her pick the little boy we give it too! We are so excited!

What a great idea! We call it spreading a little bit of pixie dust...we always try to pay it forward if we can - a fast pass, a stroller voucher etc...

This year at MNSSHP (Oct 12) I brought from home glow in the dark head bands that look like "mickey ears" for my girls to wear. We broke them out just after dinner to wear around for a while. My eldest DD8 then asked for hers during the parade. I thought she was getting into the spirit of things after taking them off for a while. She then asked this tiny, little pixie dressed as Tink if she would like them. Well her father nearly fell over at the gesture and thanked my daughter profusely. I was so proud of her for doing it. The little girl was too little to want to wear them on her head so the father took them and wore them on his head proudly! It was a nice pixie dust moment for us!

What lovely things to do  :wizard:

I have an annual pass, so I don't have to pay for parking, but sometimes I like to pay for the next person behind me's parking.

I am bringing 100 glow necklaces with us on this trip. We'll hand them out during the fireworks & parades.

I am the fast pass fairy. Love to find family of four to give a little pixie dust:)

We had 3 fastpasses for Space which me fiance and I decided we didnt want to go. We had already been on it a few times during the day, and it was about an hour or so before close.

So, my son went... and saw this kid about his age, with his Dad getting off when he got off.

The kid said to his Dad - I wanna go again!!! The Dad said "The line is so loooong!" So Danny over heard this and turned to them and asked "You wanna go again?" and hands him the other 2 fastpasses. :goodvibes

From what my 11 y/o said - the kid and his dad were like WOW! Thanks so much!!! And were elated as they husted back into the FastPass line!

I was so proud of him! :cloud9:

You are obviously a wonderful mother and have taught your daughters well. That is what we all can hope for.

Usually, I travel on cruises (I have a great gig where I give arts and crafts classes in exchange for passage) and I always bring lots of goodies for staff onboard and also disadvantaged kids in some of the countries we stop at. Great fun and spreads a lot of joy. (Gift bags for waiters and room stewards, or phone cards + extra tips; origami dollar bill tips for bartenders; chocolate coins for everyone; little toys for poor kids.)

Next year we are going back to WDW after a long absence and I hope to do the same. So far I have a bunch of glow sticks for nighttime parades, some very cool mini Mickey Mouse playing card sets, and I sent away to the Disney online store for some $2.99 bean bag sets (They had Pooh/Eeyore & also Mickey/Minnie) - I bought a set of each for my Darling Niece who will be 3 that week - but a few extra sets of the Mickey & Minnie ones to give away to kids at the parks. And I still have 11 months to gather more junk!

I have found that a good way to give things away to children is to ask the parent "Would your child like this?" rather than just handing it to the child which could be construed as creepy. (In foreign countries the kids are often alone, in which case I know how to say "a gift for you" in a couple different languages!)

wow.. any other ideas..

we have made those cm thank you's... and attached gum to each one.. we will be passing those out too! This was so much fun making them and cutting them out together and taping them on the gum... we had great family time together! :wizard:
