How can we get to Storytellers Cafe?

We are staying off property for this next visit and want to go to breakfast at the Storytellers Cafe. I want to make early PS's for around 9am. How do we get to the Storytellers Cafe if we are staying off property?

It's located on the ground level of the Grand Californian Hotel, so you can park in the giant parking structure and ride the trams over, or you can park in the Downtown Disney lot. I think the valet at the GCH is for guests only, but I could be wrong on that one since I've never used it before.

Thanks sgtdilbert. We have stayed at the GCH 2 yrs ago but I don't know how to reach the Storytellers Cafe from being a non guest. I know there is an entrance from the DCA park but I am wondering if you have to be a guest of GCH to go through that entrance.

Wish we were using DVC points to the GCH. I would love to be "on property" again.

Are you going there for a character breakfast or just to eat? The reason I am asking is ..... if you want a great character breakfast Chip & Dales at Storytellers Cafe is NOT the one to go to. Out of the 4 character breakfasts offered it is the most boring.

There's an entrance in Downtown Disney. It's located past a few stores to the right of World of Disney. It will lead you into the lobby of the GCH. I'm sure you can find your way from there!

Oh, and no, you don't have to be a guest to use the DCA entrance to the hotel. I've never stayed there (since I live really close) but I've used that entrance a bunch of times.

Thanks sgtdilbert that answers my question. We have stayed at the GC but I wanted to make sure non guests could access that entrance. I can now make my PS's .

You can valet park at GCH, as long as you get validated at Storyteller - otherwise they'll charge you an arm & a leg for parking.

I just used the GCF entrance from Downtown Disney and go there fine. Dinner was yummy!
