I'd like to add that the handicapped facilities at SSR were superb.

that is so encouraging. we are going for the FIRST time, FIRST time on-site and FIRST time to our home resort which is SSR. Our son needs the handicapped facilities or we wouldn't be able to go and I am a bit uptight because 1. it is our first time and 2. unsure what to expect.

after reading this I feel heaps better :thumbsup2

glad you had a good time although I know it wasn't what you originally wanted.

good luck for you next visit.

I'm in a panic over your experience. We stayed in a
GV at OKW last December and we could not get it for next December so we are staying at SSR in a "guaranteed" handicapped accessible unit.
Now, I'm praying that all goes well.

Rigsby, I'm glad to hear you did make the best of it & came back to share with us!

As first timer's, I'm curious what your family thought of the Villa?

Glad it all worked out in the end. That next trip to OKW will be worth the wait too.

Truthfully, the first timer's liked Saratoga. My husband's cousin almost changed her mind about coming because she couldn't imagine 12 people in one house. She was amazed that we all fit without stepping all over each other. Having 4 bathrooms and 2 entrances really helped. The couple from California really liked sitting out on the balcony because of the beautiful grounds that looked a lot like their community back home. Everyone was impressed with the basket of goodies that MS sent. That was such a nice touch.

Rigsby, that is great that the first timer's liked it so much! It's always nice to see a first timer's reaction to the unit's since we've all seen them so much :)
