how can they change my cost?!

Totaly off topic, but I just watched a Disney thing a few days ago and one of the imagineers had a goatee and a wierd looking earring. When did they start allowing that? I had to look like beaver cleaver when I worked there.

You weren't Joe Rodhe. I bet they'd let him wear a tutu if he wanted to.

and on a side note: I think some of you need to think seriously about taking some chill pills. Either that or lay off the caffiene. You are far too passionate about pointless and mindless matters....

:)

Amen, sister!!:thumbsup2

1. Because they already got my money and I am going to get something out of it

2. Because my entire family if 25 is going and it has been planned a very long time

And, I will "show them" by never returning again.

Firstly, your money can be refunded in full if you cancel 45 days prior to your arrival. After that Im sure if you called and told them your out right disappointment they would refund you all of the money anyway even if you were leaving less that 45days. I cant understand, if you have that kind of attitude about it, why are you even going to go? It certainly wouldnt be worth it just becasue they "have your money, and by god youll get something out of it!!!" That to me is a really silly way to think of the situation.

Secondly, I understand the frustration and disappointment you have, but like PP are asking why are you even going to go? out of spite? while yes you have 25 people and its been planned far in advance, you obviously feel your not getting your monies worth and could spend it else where and have a better time, then why dont you?

Thirdly, your not "showing them" anything! I don't mean to be rude, but the corporation doesn't care, sorry to say. I love WDC but I also understand they are a business and they are in business to make money just like every other place out there. Sure they will loose customers here and there, but that also gain customers every day.A company that brings in as much money as WDC annually, there isnt that big of a difference. I see more and more increase yearly in my annual share holder package than loss.

I understand your feeling, and I would be just as mad if I were you, but Id also be on the phone until it was resolved. Thats what I had to do when it came to the AKL this august, it was 2 weeks before we were leaving and I had to call to find out if we were being moved, which yes is really annoying but things get backed up. As a understanding consumer I accept that. Things change constantly in the world, and yes its really annoying but what are you going to do? as long as things are worked out to your liking what more can you ask for.

As for the CM that spoke to your aunt, theres no excuse for that. But we are all human and sometimes work sucks! esp when your on the phone with guests all day that may be difficult, and those CM have lives and everyday problems just like the rest of us. Money issues and life issues. Is that an excuse to do what was done. No way, especially with WDC higher standard for guest service, but in the same sense Ive been on the phone with CM who you can just tell in there voice they just had enough for the day. Which I can understand. So im sorry you got a CM that in my opinion had just had enough non sense for the day and was ready to hang up and say yes to anything to get the heck out of there!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Sorry so long!!!!!!:scared: :scared:

Well, back in the day in traditions preached that everyone had the same exact rules as far as dress code is concerned up to Eisner himself. I wonder if they still even make everyone go through traditions :confused3

As to the earlier question about not getting the entire meal plan. Me and my GF are showing up before everyone else in our grand gatherings group and (3 days) and her 2 kids are coming later. I was told they will "adjust" how many meals we will recieve for when her kids get there. Mind you, they will def. charge us for 10 days of the parks they forced on us even though they won't be there but 7... but they had to make sure the meals didn't go our way. Did some people abuse the system before... yep - but not my problem. I do not like the adjustment that because some people abused the DDP everyone should suffer. Between 25 of us we are spending a fortune there and I think we should be able to get what we wanted. If you force me to pay for 10 days, than I deserve to get everything that comes with that.

Hey, I am glad the rest of you are huge Disney fans... and I am looking forward to going in 2 weeks. But the service has gone downhill in a huge way to me and it will be my last trip. Next trip is either Wisconsin Dehls or Vegas! (or none at all and pay off Bills)

Well, maybe he can borrow the tutu from Hoop De Doo. :thumbsup2

Those Imagineers can get away with anything. ;)

Wow, from rising room rates to leather-clad fondling in just three pages. This is the best thread I've read in a long time!!

The words to the Mickey Mouse song have always been "because we like you" - I remember that clearly from my Mouseketeer days.

I hope you can find another vacation venue that suits your tastes - which seem to include a need to smoke and bash gays. And I hope they don't adjust their rates!!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm not done reading this thread yet but your post made me snort my chocolate milk!!! Thanks for the chuckle.:goodvibes

popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

As for Zooey72's post all I can say is WOW!:sad2:

Oh, from what I understand, you want the meal credits for the kids even though they aren't going to arrive until later in the trip, and Disney says they don't want to let you start using meal credits for them until they actually show up.... were you actually planning on using for yourself the credits for them that accrued before they even arrived? How is it unfair to not allow that? :confused3

Basically not everything "fits" everyone and that applies to Disney too. The meal plan has guidelines and if those guidelines don't fit, then you have the option of not purchasing it. Those guidelines include everyone on the reservation has to have the plan and everyone has to arrive on the same day.

Yes they still have traditions. And yes there are acceptions to everything, including dress code for Disney CMs. When you get to his level, then maybe they would have let you have an earring too. I believe the dress code is also for those on stage and he is behind the scenes at the parks.

Oh, and to add to the shoddy service that we have been recieving. A CM outright lied to my aunt when making an alternative to japan. She asked if there was room in france for 25 of us, the CM who was tired of being on the call said there was. Suspicious my aunt called back and found the reservation was only for 16. Now theres customer service for you.

Are you saying you booked France and told the CM you need reservations for 25 and when you called back she had made the reservation for 16, if so I would call that a mistake not a lie.

I am paying for 3 extra days in the park for kids that are not there. How is that fair to me? You can be sure Disney will not care about the extra $ they charged me for that, but they won't give me what that entails with the meal plan.

And it was a lie. She called back right after she talked to the guy because she could sense he wanted to get off the phone with her.

In 91 and 93 everyone was expected to adhere to the dress code (and if the guy was not on stage than why was he on TV? That is more "on stage" than I ever was at Star Tours - he wasn't running an attraction, he was representing DIsney). They said they had one imagnineer there that did not have to because of medical reason (he was allowed to have a beard because for some wierd reason if he shaved the hair would grow inside his mouth).

.

Zooey72 when you book a package (room, dining and tickets)than everyone in your room has to be on the same plan.

If the guests in your room are only you, your GF and her 2 kids who are coming later you could have booked the room with a 1 day base ticket per person and the dining.

Then when you get to Disney you and your girlfriend could upgrade your base tickets to 10 day tickets.
When the kids arrive 3 days later you could upgrade their tickets to seven day tickets.
Sorry about the paid days on the kids dining that they will not be there but not everything works out quite the way we want it too.

I hope you all have fun at Disney!:wizard:

And I assume the dining you(zooey72) are getting is the FREE dining??? Why are you complaining about not getting some days for the kids -- especially if you didn't pay for it!!
I am sorry you don't like Disney but many things have changed since 91 and 93 and I would assume your dress outfits have also changed. I started working professionally back in 1974 and I can tell you that there are many changes over the year and there are some businesses that are trying to put dress codes into their businesses - good for them, but it is difficult.
I just hope Zooey72 is not on the free meal plan with all of the complaining he is doing.

You mean this thread where Zooey72 is going during free dining and wants to use credits for the not yet checked in 16/20 year old "kids", so he can personally use the credits for free Siguature Dining instead of having to pay OOP???

I guess my other question, now that I see the age of the "kids" Is the extra fee per night being paid for the other adult child??? I am sorry but Zooey72 just has too much to complain about yet he is ripping us all off if he doesn't follow the rules. Sorry but I love Disney and I wouldn't give it up for anything else, and I still do family travel to Europe, Hawaii and many other places. And prices go up, so does your salary and you are free to choose what you want to use it for. I am a professional and I prefer to stay part of my time in a value so I can get more days in disney. If someone can't 'downgrade' to a moderate or you have to cut one day off of your vacation because you can't afford it, that is your choice.

You did not answer my question, what did the CM lie about? If she made a reservation for 16 instead of the 25 then that is a mistake in the numbers, not a lie. What is the lie?

Did she make a reservation for the wrong number of people?
