How can I get 40% off at BLT?

I really want to stay at BLT but I cannot stomach the rack rates. I have not been tracking discount codes and pins long enough to determine if getting 40% off a deluxe villa is even possible.

Looking at the historical code information, it doesn't appear that they offer that rate when they do the general public discount codes.

Do they offer it to AP holders? The savings may be worth it if I can get a discount code.

I know that I can save money by renting DVC points but I'm risk-adverse so I would rather go through Disney.

We got 40% off at Bay Lake Tower in 2011. They offered room-only discounts on Jan. 1 that went through late September. I called on 1/2 and managed to get a one bedroom at Bay Lake Tower. This year, though, it looks like BLT was excluded from most of the room only discounts so far. I guess you just have to keep watching for general public codes or get lucky enough to get a PIN.
