How can I book with 2 membership numbers?

I have two contracts each with their own membership number. They are the same use year and home resort. We want to book using points from both contracts. Is there a way to do this without putting both contracts under the same membership number? Thanks!
 
Only by transferring points between one and the other. You only transfer regular points…once points have been banked or borrowed, you can not transfer.

The other option is to book some nights on one and some on the other. Then have MS note it’s a continuous stay.

Thanks for the response. I emailed member administration back in July about putting both contracts under one membership number. I got a response asking for the membership numbers so it could be done, which I gave them, and I haven't heard back since. I guess I will email them again.

Are the owners the same on both? They can only be put in the same membership if that is true.

However, if they have already been created into two different memberships, it may be something that needs some special process to accomplish if you have trips booked.
 

Yes owners are the same on both. We have a tripped booked for December on one contract but have never used the other. Member administration gave me the impression in the email that it was no problem to take care of so I'm not sure why I haven't heard back from them.

And if they can put them under the same membership number, that would be great as long as they don’t make it one big contract in case you want to sell one. I have three different BLT contracts under the same membership number, 2 were direct and one was resale.
Edited to add I meant making 2 reservations and then having MS continue them....I’ve never done a transfer.

Yes, I understand they don’t answer the phone any more. Email again and be persistent. Maybe they’re all working from home. It is very convenient having them in one membership number....easy when making reservations because all contracts will pop up after you make your room/resort/date selection along with all your info on points.
 
I hope to combine 2 memberships as well. The first was a direct and the 2nd is resale. My DS is now of age so I need to add him to my direct contract. I bought the resale this summer in both our names. After I add him to the direct deed, will they combine the 2 and still retain the direct purchase benefits? Any insight is greatly appreciated.

It is not easy to cancel a membership and move things to another.

What I would do is contact MA and tell them you are going to change the owners of the current direct and it will match the resale one you own so you need to changed there.

The issue in all of this is reservations. They can not move a trip from one membership to another so you want to be sure that you do it when you have nothing booked on the one you want dissolved.

Adding your son keeps the benefits. However, because you want things put together it could cause an issue.

You probably need to talk to then first to find out exactly how to do it so nothing like that is impacted.
 
If you have multiple reservations (for the same room type) for the same stay under different contracts they can link the reservations so you don’t have to change rooms, we do it all the time.

I have 2 contracts, same resort but different use years, one is June 25(direct) and august 200 resale. After a couple years I realized it's easiest to just transfer the 25 over in June to the August one. Then I can use them together.

I of course cannot combine them into one, but this makes it easier.

I'm now showing only the trip I have booked for October 2022 with points from one contract. I have a trip in December booked with points from the other contract that's not showing on my dashboard and I'm not showing any points available for this contract in 2022 or any year in the future. Anyone had an issue like this before?

If you are not showing any points yet, that means they transferred that contract, but have not yet loaded things. Normally this is what happens.

My hope for you is that you won’t lose that Dec trip as normally those can not transfer. Keep us posted.

Yes not seeing my December trip is making me nervous. It's still showing I have a reservation in the app though.

If by the app, you mean MDE, that doesn't mean anything. I have two reservations canceled months ago still showing on my MDE. It doesn't always play nicely with DVC.

MDE is not what is controlling whether the reservation actually exists, that's DVC. You can call and get your MDE fixed, but I wouldn't bother until DVC can get their end fixed. MDE showing up doesn't mean the reservation still exists.

When you discussed with MA the desire to combine everything together, did you specifically mention that you had a December trip on the membership you wanted dissolved and whether or not that would be an issue?

Normally, when a contract changes owners/memberships, reservations can not be transferred. Your situation is unique so hopefully, it was something you discussed before having them do it.
