Our plan for the week before Easter is to be at the parks early and then go back to the YC @ noon and hang out by the pool.
Can anyone who has been at the YC/BC at this time tell me how crowded the pool area gets? Does it become impossible to find chairs?
We can't wait to go, but I amgetting worried about the crowds. We've been to WDW many times though, so we don't have to see everything.

If the weather is suitable for swimming, expect SAB to be crowded. Disney apparently expects the pool to be at or near capacity that week - it will not be available to DVC members for pool hopping that week. I'm fairly certain that you will need to show your resort ID to get in and that the CMs will be periodically checking IDs.

If it gets too crowded, you might consider using one of the two quiet pools. These are generally not crowded, but they also don't have the appeal of SAB.

Hope you have a wonderful trip!

It really deoends on the weather. I can tell you from personal experience that we were there for the past two years, one week before Easter and one week after Easter, and it was never that crowded. I think it was probably due to the weather, although it was very nice, it was a little too cool for any long time swimming. Obviously this could change, but from what I've seen in April(about 15-20 years of being in Florida that time of year), many people find the weather a little too cool, especially at night.

DisneyMim, we're going the last week of March...what would you guess the weather would be like...

mimmiek, I am so sorry that I don't think I will be much help to you. We have never been in Disney in March, but I can tell you from what friends and relatives have said, that is varies. Some have had hot weather and others have said it was cooler. I think your best bet is to keep an eye on the weather reports and read as many trip repots from people who have just come back, or will be just back during the month of March. That being said, I wouldn't worry about it much. I have been there in hot weather, cooler weather, rainy weather, and we ALWAYS have a great time. If there's one thing I have learned about anywhere on earth is that you can't control the weather!! I would bring some kind of light sweater/jacket for everyone and hope you don't need it (most times when I go very prepared I don't need the stuff, but if I didn't have it I would!!LOL!!)

Have a Wonderful Vacation!!!
