We're planning to go to the campfire on the Friday following Thanksgiving. I know this is an extrememly busy day for WDW but does that mean the campfire will be very busy, too? Or is it possible so many people will be in the parks that the campfire will not feel crowded? What is the attendance like at the campfires, generally? Thanks!

I really think it depends on the movie they are showing that night. There are two fires going, one on each side and tons of seating. My little ones usually bring a neat sheet or blanket and throw on the ground in front of the screen and I bring my own chair. I don't ever remember the campfire sing a long as too crowded to enjoy. The fire is going the whole time the movie is so maybe you can roast your goodies after the crowd dies down. I love the sing a long and have to visit often. Have a good time and a safe trip!

We've been to the CF almost every night that we stay at the campground. We have gotten there early and gotten a seat and gotten there late and gotten a seat. There are log benches (with seat backs) closer to the movie screen and aluminum bleachers farther back. You can take your own blankets or chairs to sit on/in.

Don't forget to take your own smore's fixins but I recommend purchasing their roasting sticks as they are wooden and not very sharp!

Have a great time!!!

I don't think it would be any busier than usual. I think most people will be spending Friday night at the parks or DTD.

Are you staying at FW? When we were there we saw people saving spots very early in the evening. On our way back from the pool or from fishing there would be blankets or towels spread out to save spots. We were there during Spring Break and it was very crowed almost everynight. There were lots of people walking from the bus stop thru our loop (1400) looking for the campfire.

I expect it will be a busy night. Peeps are right IF its a popular movie or a fav classic that makes a difference on how many people stay.
Don't forget the mosquito repellent. I was there for 2 weeks (just got back) and the bugs are still around. NOT bad but the campfire is near water.

It is busy everynight at the campfire. In all the yrs we've been camping I haven't seen the campfire not full.

Weekends are usually busier, that coupled with the holiday and a popular movie would mean "get there early"
The chuckwagon will probably have a line all night as well, might be a good night to bring supplies with you.
