Here on long island we have off from school during the Passover holiday. We will be at Disney during that week. Is it still considered "Spring Break" or should the crowds be small.
A lot of NJ schools (not all) are off that week also. I have been down there when NJ schools are out in April and they can be quite busy. Last year we went in April and it was the double dose of being the week after Easter and the April break all in one and the parks were jammed!
Our schools are closed 4/23-30 this year, but we chose to do a Bermuda cruise instead.
NYC schools AND some Northern NJ schools are out that week as well. My friends from Jersey will be joining us at BWV that week. Our school schedules don't always coincide but it did this year.
I will anticipate it being heavy at the parks. If it is, I won't be disappointed. If the crowds are low, we will have lucked out.
Honestly, I don't think it will be that bad. But I don't want to expect low crowds, jinx it, and be disappointed, if you know what I mean!
You may see alot of neighbors that week Southwest flights from ISP are booked solid for 4/22 -4/24. We're going down that week too but for the 7 day cruise plus 2 nights at WDW. We're going down in the mindset that it will be crowded and if it's not Great!!
I just saw on the unofficial site that they rate the 23-25 with a crowd rating of 5 out of 10 and the rest of the week with a crowd rating of 3 out of 10, so it shouldn't be crowded at all. I guess the rest of the country doesn't have off that week.
FWIW... I live in northern NJ and our township's spring break week is 4/11 - 4/15.
My family and I visited WDW the last week of April two years ago and the crowds were more than manageable. Sure, there was a wait for some attractions, however, judicious use of FastPass can make the whole day run smoothly.
As a previous poster has said, weeks with lower points are usually less crowded. I think, though, that the points don't go down until the first week of May. You may want to confirm that yourself.
