My daughter and I have planned this birthday trip for her for a long time for Nov. 15 and 16, and just now I see that Nov. 16 may be a much busier day than I anticipated because of the Seasons of the Force opening. We have park hoppers and I planned to do mostly DCA on Sunday and Disneyland on Monday, but now I wonder if I should reverse that. Except for the fact that her favorite ride, Space Mountain, won't be open until Monday. Any advice? How busy really will the park be with Seasons of the Force opening?

According to Touring Plans' predictions, Sunday crowd levels will be 7 of 10 for DL and 6 of 10 for DCA. Monday will be 9 of 10 for DL and 6 of 10 for DCA. Will you have park hoppers?

I am thinking it will be very busy in Tomorrowland on the 16th. When Star Tours reopened, there were campers and everything I believe. They had a special line that went from ST down Main St. Now, there will be more to do than just one ride, so the crowds will be spread out more, but it will be busy.

If you want to ride SM and ST, I would advise getting to the parks early and trying for FP. Make SM your priority and go for it first since it is her favorite.

We don't really know how crowd control is going to work, so it is hard to give much advice yet.

I would expect most of the extra crowds to be concentrated in tomorrowland. The rest of DL might be relatively ok, especially early in the day before anyone has finished with tomorrowland. Still, it might not be a bad idea to reverse your park days. If SM is the only tomorrowloand attraction you're interested in, I think you should jump in there and get a FP asap, and then head off to quieter parts of DL or DCA until it's time to use it. I would expect there to be a line for FP, so if your daughter is old enough you could send her off to get breakfast or ride a couple of solo rides while you secure the FP.

They've announced that TL will be closed on Sunday for a media event, and with the half marathon that weekend, the will likely drive interest to DL on both days.

The only thing I've seen is a media event for tomorrow, Thursday Nov 12th...nothing about Sunday that I can find!

Oh, that could be right. I couldn't remember where I read it. Now I think I remember that it's going to be closed Thursday and Friday. Regardless, I'd expect both the 15th and 16th to be very crowded because of the half marathon, the official start of the holidays and the TL opening.

We will be there for one day only on Nov 16th for my birthday and also my son's (3.5) first time. We planned out trip before I found out about Season of the Force. We are planning on getting there 30-45 mins before the park opens and probably staying away from TL. The only real thing I would was to to is ST but if we dont get a chance to do it I will be fine with that. We shall see how it goes. I am expecting it to be pretty busy.

Oh I definitely agree. We are going and just expecting the worst, and just getting a FP for space mountain. We'll do star tours Saturday or Sunday, but since SM is closed those days we won't have many chances otherwise.

I'm thinking Monday will be a good day to stay in DCA for most of the day after 11am.

My old boss at US Weekly Magazine told me she's attending a Media Event tomorrow night, Thursday Nov 12th.

I agree. Most visitors, especially locals or anyone visiting because of Star Wars, will likely be in Tomorrowland. I'd say the rest of the park should be pretty nice early in the day. Make getting a FP for Space Mountain a priority for your daughter's sake, then go do something else.
