How busy is the beginning of March?

We paln on going the week of March 4th. I see it is considered "peak" time. But I don't think people are on spring break yet, or the yare done in some cases(colleges go early sometimes?) So for anyone in the "know" will it be packed. I am having no problem getting any hotel I want at this point, so I jsut wondered.

We went last year 3/7 I believe. It was packed! There is also cheerleading competition going on so you will see a lot of cheerleaders. The lines are long and the fast passes run out early. I would not go again at that time unless it was my ONLY option. We are going the last week in Feb this year which won't be much different, but again it was my only option. Next trip will be in the fall.

OH GREAT!~ I hate crowds and I really wanted to go at a different time, but this is when DH wanted to go. UGH!!! I am not happy. this is the first I ahve heard about a cheerleading compitition thouhg. I have heard of earlier ones, but never for that week. Where can I find that info?

We have gone around the 15th (our anniversary) a couple times. The cheerleading competitions were there then too...It was not so bad. I don't remember it being uncomfortably crowded. 2 years ago we went the week before easter in April...now THAT was So crowded, but we still had a blast!

BTW...I am going the first week of March too Fingers crossed it is not packed!!!

I just read on www.allearsnet.com in the "Anita Answer" column, about 4 special events the first two weeks of March; two of those were cheerleading competetions. You can check to see if any of these events overlap with your trip.

This will be our first trip in March also ( 17-23). We're a little anxious about crowds, but are planning on having a good attitude, using fastpass, and using those evening magic hours.

They must be having cheerleading competitions all year long there!!! LOL

They are there when I'm going next week, too!!

I really hope it's not OVERLY crowded next week.

This is my son an husbands first trip to Disney and also the first trip for the couple that is going with us with 2 kids.

Maybe we'll see some of you there!!

YEAH!! The Cheerleaders last day is the 4th! We arrive early evening of the 4th, so it shouldn't bother us too much. And we leave the 8th. Nothing in that time frame!
Does anyone know when spring break is for colleges? Hopefully not that week!
