How Busy Is Peter Pan and Fantasyland at Rope Drop?

I don't get why people go crazy trying to ride this. It's outdated, bland and not worth anything longer than a 5 minute wait. The only time we ever ride this is if it is basically a walk on. Otherwise, skip it and move along.

I kind of get what you're saying but for my family the fact that this is one of the last rides in Magic Kingdom that was inspired and worked on by Walt Disney makes us keep coming back. It's been our families first ride at the Magic Kingdom for as long as I can remember. It just screams Walt Disney World to us and we still enjoy it as much today as we did the first time we rode it.

I will be in the same situation, with 8:05 CP ADR, wanting to ride PP first. If we get out of CP ahead of the rope drop crowd, where will that put us? Will we be able to go thru the castle at the front of the crowd???

If you take a look at the link that Siskaren posted, you'll find your answer. Basically you'll be held in the hub until RD. Position yourself to go thru the castle, then veer off to PP. The rest of the crowd will most likely be heading to 7DMT or A&E.
