We are going on our first Disney Cruise on Sept 22nd for a 4 night cruise. I am guessing that for the most part all sailing dates are close to sold out throughout the year. For those who have sailed around the end of September can you lend us any insight as to the number of people sailing. Will there be a large difference vs. say Spring Break or another peak period?

Thanks!

I am also on scotties cruise (we are the only ones!) and wonder about the number of children. Obviously there will be less than on holiday periods which is good because I didn't want the kids clubs to be too, too crowded but I hope that there will still be a fair number of children for mine to meet and play with.

So, do a pretty large amount of children cruise even in the fall?

We sailed the Magic last Sept and the cruise was not full. Of course this was only 11 days after the 9/11 attack and many people were unable to cruise either due to being called up in the Reserves, or being effected by the attack in other ways. I remember one coulple on our cruise who both just lost their jobs (in the travel industry) but cruised anyway because it was already paid for.
I belive Sept is an "off" month, which is why DCL offeres deals for fall. There were plenty of kids for our kids to meet and play with.

We also cruised last September on the 4-day Wonder...12 days after 9/11. This was our first Disney cruise, so I have nothing to compare it to, but the ship did not seem very crowded, and I assume it was a result of the 9/11 tragedy (as "RellingTwin" also mentioned).

We overheard a cast member say that the ship was at 75% capacity. There were always kids by the Mickey pool. We never visited the Oceaneer Club/Lab, so I don't know how many kids were in that area.

As two adults, no kids, we spent most of our time by the adult pool, but there certainly seemed to be enough kids in the other areas of the ship that your children will have plenty of potential playmates.
