How busy is it over Labor Day weekend?

I haven't been to WDW in 30 years and my girlfriend has never been. I have tentatively booked things so that we are arriving Friday Sept 1/06 and leaving Tuesday Sept 05/06. I am wondering if anyone here has experienced the crowds at all the parks over the Labor Day weekend and just how busy it was. I am considering to moving everything to arriving Labor Day and then leaving on Sat Sept 09/06 but I would really like to hear just how insane it is (or isn't) during Labor Day weekend.

I am wondering as well....thinking of taking a long weekend before our big trip in January.

I am sure the Saturday will be busy, but hoping that Sunday will be quiet.

I was there over Labor Day weekend in '99 (I think we went from Friday, through LD, and left on Friday again). Waits for rides were no longer than 20 minutes at the most - in fact, for most we could walk right on, or wait about 5-10 minutes.

It was, however, EXTREMELY hot and humid. Now, I like the heat because I'm cold all the time, but I was begging my ex to "get me on a ride - any ride" to cool off!
