About two weeks ago my wife was able to score a room discount for ASMu for the week leading up to and including Easter weekend. Her thought was that the majority of schools have already taken their spring break so the parks should nt be that crowded. I believe that it is going to be very crowded and we will not enjoy our trip. Please tell me something different. For the first time I am not looking forward to going.

Thanks ::MickeyMo

Like any other holiday time, Easter Weekend will be very busy. Easter Sunday, in particular, will be packed at MK -- not quite at Christmas levels, but pretty close. MK has been known to close at capacity on Easter Sunday.

The early part of the week won't be nearly as bad, but as the weekend approaches, crowds will increase.

Even though most of the schools are done with Spring Break by then, you have to remember that there are locals who visit the parks too, and Easter weekend is a big locals weekend. Be sure you get to the parks early, use FP, make all your PS in advance, have a plan, and maintain your sense of humor!

Sorry the news isn't better ...

We will be there April 7 - 11. That is our Easter break. Delaware has their break the following week. We are figuring on crowds and will just deal with it.

We will be there April 2-11. NYC public schools has Easter break April 5-13. I'm expecting the parks to be packed during that time.

It looks like you've been to the parks several times before. Just be aware that it will be crowded. You may not get to see everything or be able to move as quickly. Utilize FastPass, avoid early entry parks (or go for early entry and then leave once it's over), relax at the pool...maybe even take a day off of the parks and just sit at the pool and go to Downtown Disney. Remember, the parks will open earlier and be open later during this time.

I went down over my college Spring Break two years ago which fell on the week after Easter. It was crowded, but you just had to take it all in stride. I actually saw a lot more than I thought I was going to.

We were there two years ago during that week. Yes, the parks are crowded but it is doable. Several nights MK was open until midnight or 1am. DH and I would be ready to crash for the night but our DS and DD then 18 and 15 would head back to MK. We spent Easter Sunday at Epcot and it wasn't too bad but I would avoid MK during the day.
